Yankees Relievers Marte, Aceves Not Expected Back

For argument's sake, there will be four starters in the playoffs. I see them as being Sabathia, Petitte, Burnett, and Hughes. The bullpen will consist of Rivera, Chamberlain, Wood, Robertson, and Logan for sure. That's nine pitchers. Assuming that they carry 11 pitchers, the last two spots would be for long men: Vasquez and Mitre (Girardi's pet). I'd feel a whole lot better with a healthy Aceves and Marte than basket case Vasquez and that worthless Mitre. Neither one of them can get meaningful outs.

Yeah, Aceves was the 2009 version of Aaron Small. Almost literally by the looks of his amazing numbers last year. If he doesen't come back this year for the playoffs thats going to be a big hit for the champions...We know Pettitte will be back we just need AJ to return to form, thats the only way the yankees will repeat.
