I think most people get it, he picks some local topic, bashes it, a few people laugh and the rest get all ruffled. As long as people have an opinion either way he’s happy. It’s kinda like that kid in elementary school that sat in the back of the class spitting spit wads at everybody while he and a buddy giggled. There’s humor in that, but just for the kid and his buddy. The kids wiping spit off their face don’t think it’s amusing. Let’s say his next article was about thread rats with fishing boats who comb the wildly famous Ukiah Daily Journal forums boasting of great riches and crazy bets with pals about how many people he can get to respond to him. TWK would write about their record 10k+ posts and how pathetic their lives must be to spend such time on Topix when surely places like Puerto Vallarta offer something more exciting. I don’t think there is anyone that pathetic, but if there was, I doubt they would think the article was all that funny. What’s funny is that with like 45k+ people in Mendocino county, TWK writes an article bashing the Giants when fans have never been prouder of their team and gets only 40 posts? I know thread rats with a bigger following than that. Don’t Worry TWK, I’ll knock out a few quick posts to beef up your numbers, let me know what you think of my idea for your next article. Oh wait, to everything I just said….........lol
Wow
One person on the whole thread gets it……..

Now enjoy your chuckle………

I'm a longtime Giants fan, and I have to say this is all very exciting. Even if there are people that seem to be cheering all the time, it's because they're excited. If they don't know much about baseball then they're learning. Hell I was seven years old getting upset and excited over everything when I started watching baseball. I know these people are not 7 years old, but you can never be too old to start loving a great game. As for being a team of interchangeable parts, personally I think that makes them all the more endearing. There are guys possibly at the end of their career or are at least seasoned veterans getting their very first chance at playing in the postseason, at the same time there are people like Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner, Lincecum and Cain who are just at the start of their very promising career in baseball. Cliche but true there is a new "hero" every game. Hero in the sense of getting the big hit, pitching a great game, etc. The team isn't centered around one big name, there's no "Josh Hamilton" on the Giants. If the bases are loaded with two outs, who would I want to be batting? With this team I could take any of the starters even a few of the pitchers. As for your criticism of "The City" itself, I can't comment on that, I've never lived there and live far enough and visit it so little, that I still admire it. I'm not sure how you figure that people are pretending to be artists, poets or bohemian outcasts. What defines any of those things? As for calling it Frisco, I hate it too. It's lazy and annoying, it's like calling California Cali, but if you want to see it as a case of people being pretentious, I suppose you could wrongly interpret it as that.
The Rangers weren't just "centured around Josh Hamilton," their potential A.L. MVP Vlad Guerrero hit .071. Who can win when your clean up guy doesn't hit a whiff?
Having said that, congratulations San Francisco Giants on being crowned the kings of baseball for the first time as a bay area team. And, the far superior A.L., in my opinion, will have to suffer this humiliating World Series defeat for an entire year.
Good night.

"Far Superior?" Let me run it down for you. Cruz .200, Kinsler .188, Molina .182, Andrus .176, Murphy .143 and the best player in the American league this year, a whopping .100. Rangers had a great year as did the Giants but the Rangers didn't suddenly slip into a slump, nor did the Phillies or the Braves. None of them could hit because of the National League pitchers they were facing.

We got Timmy and Torres...Huff Daddy and BUSTER Posey, hands down..Rookie of the YEEEAAAARRRR

I was in SF last week when the series began. The town was electric. I enjoy all of the pretenious people. Seemed like a good group to me. People were smiling, laughing, amd cheering in restaurants.
So, TWK, your bitterness is showing.

TWK is Mendocino's Howard Stearn. He'll say anything to get you to read.
I would say to stop buying the UDJ but at the present time i was able to get a year scrip for $12, thats just over 3 cents a copy, i figure they will go broke faster at that price.

I personally hate it when there is a Giants Game scheduled no one else can put on a show or anything near the stadium... I had to drive longer to see the band I wanted to see play because there was a game scheduled and the concert was "nearby"... that sucked balls... otherwise as boring as baseball is it is kool they won the world serieS....
I am a rooting for Raiders though in Football... sorry niners.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aquarius

You won't like it if you feel your wings are being clipped today. You want to do something in particular, only to discover that someone is objecting to your plans or that circumstances beyond your control are standing in your way. Although your instincts tell you to throw a tantrum to get your point across, you must ask yourself what this will achieve, and whether it will actually be self-defeating.
