All of this doom and gloom talk is absolute nonsense. Okay, we get it - the Yanks had a lousy day and looked really flat. But the season is a marathon, not a sprint last time I checked. Sheesh, you must be looking under the same rock where Wally Matthews looks to get his stories.

I guess it is surprising that CC didn't have anything in the tank throughout his innings on the mound, but I take it as just one game and look forward to seeing him pitch again, if not only to shut up some of the other naysayers out there. It's a long season - let it play out

Must be the ballpark. Two years ago, I was at Camden Yard when Roger 'Roid started for the Yankees and didn't strike out anyone -- for what was like the first time in about 15 years.

He was obviously too pumped up to be effective. Too much adrenaline does not translate to pitching accuracy. That internet report on Joba was a tasteless piece of reporting by Newsday. Trying to stir the pot are we. Time to clean up your sports department Newsday.

I said it from the start, Sabathia is going to be a huge (figuratively and literally) disappointment. He's over 250 pounds and threw over 500 innings the last two seasons. Addin that he's coming to the AL East, and he's a serious injury/ineffectiveness candidate.
