We will all know if the Mets are once again incapable of doing anything correct in the next few days....If Santana is not pitching in a game with in the next week or so then how the hay is he 100% fine? I think at the end of the day the Mets take us all for fools when they are the biggest fools of all!

Wally Matthews does all of us Mets fans a service here, by reminding us of the team's past injury history. Santana is a relatively small pitcher who has thrown many pitches, so any elbow pain or ligament woes are a major concern. Right now the Mets rotation is composed of a Cy Young award candidate, the hot-and-cold blowing Perez, John Maine, who has never pitched a full season without breaking down, Mike Pelfrey who is still unproven and 4 candidates for the number 5 spot, all below league average pitchers. If Santana were to go down for any significant period, this team would be in trouble.
