Let's see-the Sox bring up Richards and Wasserman while the Twins bring up Lariano and-
Carrasco-he gone!
Ozzie-he gone!
1st place-it gone!

Once again, pennant hopes go to KC to die. Can Griffey pitch?

Just remember we hit bumps in the road in 2005. We are still in a good situation....If you are really upset, watch your 2005 DVD..

And so the season ends for the 2008 White Sox. Actually, if you've been paying attention, it ended quite a while ago.
Maybe Gordon Beckham can pitch for this team. Why not try David Beckham? Just about anyone would be better.

dopey cub and tiger fans posts, we shall see who is in the playoffs after the white win at home (35-16 ring a bell) and the twins lose on the road (23-28 cough). By the way how are the tigers doing? lol

Richard nice math!! The Sox road record is worse than the Twins. The Twins winning percentage is 0.4509 and the Sox winning percentage is 0.4482. I would have to say the twins are a better road team.

I know "folks" in Ga. are not very bright but the point was the the White Sox have 9 more home games left than the Twins. Go try the math now...

This team needs help - Kenny are you listening. Half the bullpen sucks - the starters aren't helping any - bats go cold more than ocasionally. I wonder if Griffey is regreting his decision to OK the trade.....

It's a 6-0 lead in the SECOND inning and you cry about a bunt? Since he admitted that he should have hit Teahan for that, then he could easily have had Carrasco hit Olivo when they were getting embarrassed 14-0 by a sorry team.

How many "folks" do you know in Georgia? I won't stoop to your level with a come back. I'm sure you must know everyone in Georgia for such a generalization. You are all into statistics...so, exactly what do you have to base your comment?

Oh, and BTW, people in Georgia don't even call each other "folks". That's a Midwestern term.

It was so good to see Paul Konerko for 2 consecutive games this weekend. Let's see: 1 for 7 with three strikouts and a he grounded into a double play. Yep, so good to see his big bat bringing terror to the other team.

Ozzie, sit his ass down and nail it to the bench.

No need to get worried....yet. Twins have a brutal road schedule coming up vs. Angels, A's, Boston and Yankees. Twins are not a great team away from their sad excuse for a ballpark dome.

Ozzie is right about Teahen though. He's going to get one in his ear at some point.

A pair 4-0 leads blown in Minnesoata and 3-0 lead in K.C.
unless Ken Griffey, Jr. can also pitch, there's trouble ahead.

After the first few innings yesterday, I couldn't continue watching. It was nuts!. It should have been obvious to everyone in the ballpark as well as those watching on TV that Richard would put the game out of reach. The question is "Why did Ozzie leave him in until the game was totally out of control?" It occurred to me that Ozzie may not have wanted to loose Masset, a long reliever, for Junior and choose this way to shove it into William's face. If this is so, then Ozzie screwed his own team and it could have long term consequences by saying to Junior "I don't want you!" while putting a damper on the team's morale. If my suspicions are correct, then I can only conclude that it was a stupid and immature decision and a basis for firing Ozzie. He has more than a couple of years left on his contract, but it could be well worth the cost to get an adult as manager.

No need to panic yet!!! This is the same Sox team that have put together multiple 7-8 game win streaks. But on the other side the injury problem is a little scary. Wish Kenny would have got another arm or two at the deadline. The Royals putting up over 20 runs in two games is never good!!!

As a lifelong Sox fan, all I can say at this point is that I'm embarassed. How long will the Sox allow Ozzie to make a fool out of himself and the WS? From comments about Mariotti, Williams, Wrigley Field, and now the revelation that he had already given up on the game in the 2nd inning, he is clearly classless and clueless. Fire Ozzie!

Funny how the poll on chicagosports asks if the sox will take first place back, or stay in second. There are a lot of us sox fans who see the team free-falling.

Apparently, White Sox fans can't read the opponents schedule...

Even with the Twins having more road games I still think they will come out...

The White Sox still have HUGE series against the Red Sox and Yanks....doomsday...

Go 1st place Twins!

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Sagittarius

It's a great day for mixing and mingling with people you always get on well with, so try not to keep yourself to yourself too much as that would be a real shame on a day when you're feeling so convivial and friendly. Speaking of friends, you'll enjoy spending time with them now, especially if you share some core values.
