It's nice to see floyd finally get some run support while throwing a good game. Hopefully they can do the same for danks.

I don't understand that comment on Floyd and run support.
Did you miss the entire 2008 season?
Floyd, however, showed me something today.
He was god-awful in his previous start.

Twelve runs are nice, but it all comes down to pitching. So far the Sox have been getting good pitching. Let's hope it holds.

Not that the Cub-Boston-New York obsessed media will pay attention.

Matt Garza is a head case. Who does he think he is? What a punk.

It feels good to get revenge on the Rays after last years ALDS. The Royals are leading the AL Central but not for long. They will eventually fall apart as will the Tigers. The Indians and the Twins aren't a threat this year. As for us as long as Buehrle, Floyd, Danks, and Colon continue their good pitching, Quentin Dye, Thome, and Konerko continue to produce, and Contreras finds his command we will be fine.

Not to get too excited, but Getz is hitting OK right now.

Anderson is also hitting well.

If both continue to do this, the two major questions will be answered in the field and in the lineup.

Heck, even lillibridge found out what a walk is between Arizona and Chicago

If Anderson bats over .230 I'll be thrilled.

This was a frustrating series at times. The first game we stranded 21 runners - but still won, thankfully. The second game was filled with more stranded runners and a blown lead. But coming back against Kazmir yesterday and Garza today was great.

Who are these guys? They can look so pathetic, anemic and old sometimes, and at other times they look like world beaters. Its going to be another one of those years that goes down to the last weekend. Wake me in Mid-September.

6) I thought Konerko wheezed when he ran!, watchin Thome lumber into 2nd today reminded me of Greg Luzinski sweatin at the buffet table!!

Do you remember when Tim Wiegel used to play "Convoy" during the highlights when Wiegel showed Luzinski scoring from second? That was great

Dragon, who cares about the Cubs? Why even bring them up? White Sox just took three convincing games from the AL champs in their own yard and were one bad pitch away from taking the whole series. It was all good news except for that grand slam, and I come in here seeing people blathering about the Cubs and whining that the national media doesn't care.

Who cares if it doesn't care? Wins are wins, and this weekend went better than anyone realistically could have expected. Stop legitimizing the stereotypes.

Paulie is back and in shape. CQ is no one year wonder. He is for a real. A real All-Star. Floyd and Danks are lights out. I see this team going deep into the playoffs.

BKO,
Is that all you can do is write? That is exacly what I have been saying, read my posts from the previous game.
I want the cubs to win, so we can sweep them in October and end the BS from the cub fans once and for all, Quintin will be calling his home run shots in Wrigley, just like Ruth did.
Who's afraid of the cubs?

Are you sure Ruth called that shot?
It didn't look like it on the film, but you were probably there.

I got to cover a Cardinals/Bears game out here in Tempe in like 2000 and Weigel had the press seat next to me.
Great guy.
It's a shame he's not still around.
He used to do that during his "Weigel's Weiners" highlights.

<quoted text>Is Josh Fields Latin???.....That would be a NO. And if ya watch The Sox, this player has a scar on his face, sorta like a Pimp would if he got cut.
I never said Josh Fields was Latin.
You did.
You said it was the player that took over for Uribe.
Since Uribe ended as last season's 3B, it has to be Fields.
I haven't noticed any scars on players.

Is this JW Chi?
I notice when you post, JW Chi never does.
Nice try, not him, notice ISP, and Nada if anyones mentally handicapped it'd be YOU, every year we go thru this. Watch a game on TV, look at the players and then if ya do!, you'll be able to figure out who I'm refering too. Till then go back to insultin the others and STF UP, cuz I really don't care what ya used to do or what ya write and JWI Chi is not a fan of mine nor one to allign himself to me as well.

True, the ISP is different and that's usually a dead giveaway, but JW Chi says he has to go to military hospitals now and then so i just figured this was him at the military hospital.
