Send your leading hitter down who by the way who is a very capable backup for Mauer doesn't seem to make much senseto me. Just what do you want from this kid who in my book has proved himself and needs to catch in the majors even it it isn't everyday. As a PH he would be worth his weight in gold the way he is swinging the bat. Catch him every third day and DH Mauer if you are worried about Mauers legs and back. Don't tell me this management can't figure out a way to keep him up. This team needs all the hitting it can get. Gardy says its too early in the season to even move Casilla down in the order or to the minors, yet sends down his best hitter. Sounds like good judgement to me, not. Go Twins!!!!

Morales did a pretty good job for the Twins! It is reassuring that the team has a quality catcher coming through the system especially if Mauer changes positions or simply needs to sit out a game or two per week as his career continues. Morales needs to learn the defensive side of the job - how to handle pitchers, call a game, and throw runners out! I hope he's not discouraged. Actually, Redmond is the one who should be discouraged. Morales performance indicates that he will not receive a contract from the Twins after this season.

Here's a wild notion. The Twins could send Casilla and Gomez to Rochester and bring back Morales and Tolbert.

It's off topic, but the Twins have issues with pitching. They gave up 24 runs against KC in there games. It has been said that Humber is not really a relief pitcher. Well, neither is Dickey. Both these guys are starting pitchers. It's obviously tough to find someone who can do both, and the Twins need to have someone on board who can spot start. Dickey did well in his start but hasn't been impressive as a reliever.

I especially like your Casilla for Tolbert comment. Either Matt or B. Harris should be at 2nd base at this point.

Morales is a good hitter, but needs much work on his defense. Weak at blocking balls. But that he can fix. This might be Redmond's last year anyway and then Morales will be a very good backup.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
