I hate to break the news to all 20-30 year old Yankee fans who call talk radio to complain about the Yankees, but sometimes you do not make the playoffs. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to build for the future. Sometimes you have to root for your team as they are building the foundation. During this time, the road is tough, but when you finally do win, its the best! It will come, you just need to have patience.

Joba pitched fine last night, but I do agree that the pitch count worked against him and the Yankees last night. I have been a Yankee fan since the early 70's so I have been through the highs and the very lows. Do I want them to make the playoffs, of course, but if they don't then oh well. Life goes on. The problem with Yankees in my opinion is not the way Joba is being handled but how old the team looks. Once the team gets a better balance of younger and older players then thats when I beleive this team will take off.
