i think you are a jerk for comparing this to all of the dopey things reyes does. not running out groundballs last year and getting benched for it. slamming his glove to the ground when delgado drops his throw. are you kidding me ?? stop insulting our intelligence.

If the "Melk Man" doesn't shape up soon, the Yanks front office may soon become lactose-intolerant.

How did this turn into an article about Reyes? This was the first time Melky had ever done anything like that. He's a kid and made a mistake and I guarantee you it will never happen again. As far as Reyes is concerned, he already had strikes against him, that is why a big deal was made out of it. As far as you're concerned, how did you not understand this before you wrote the article. You should try to be a tad more objective and stop being such a Met homer and Yankee hater.

Last nite had what to do with the reyes and the Muts?! Reiber has to be a Muts fan... all Muts fans care about is whats going on in the Bronx and how the Yankees' actions compare to the Muts'. Stop crying and worry about the Phillies or your bullpen, for that matter.

If Melky's name wasnt Melky and his name was Steve. I guarantee he would not be on this team right now.

Is there a double standard? Of course. What if Chris Simon was a Ranger (oh, that's right, he was)? What if Sean Avery became an Islander? The question now is whether Melky does something like this again, and whether that will be treated as Melky being Melky or something else. After all, what would we make of Manny's antics here? Or what about A-Rod dressing to leave during the All-Star Game, while Jeter stayed in the dugout?

Whoa, not so fast Anthony, slow down!!! Reyes although better then Melky, is not a star as yet and let's see a lot more of that potential turn to reality before you ship him to the HOF.
Yes, Melky's play was a bone headed play but I dare to say Reyes has had a lot more of them. Getting thrown out attempting to steal 3rd with no outs as he represented the tying run really jumps out at me. Again as the tying run getting picked off 2nd was a gem. Lots of time to correct this type of play but he's hardly headed for the HOF if he doesn't wake up soon!

First off, when Reyes threw his glove, it was during the inning, not after the inning! Secondly, Melky isn't even in the same class of player as Reyes and Reyes needs to learn to grow up. Have you ever seen Jeter throw his glove after making an error? That's the difference and that's why Jeter is a HOF while Reyes right now isn't close.

What Melky did was inexcusable amd disrespectful to an opponent.
But it was his first and last offense
The yankees will take care of it.

What Reyes does over and over is just as bad but the Mets allow it to happen.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
