Obama won't let the new stadium take place.

TRUST ME he'll want us to spend the money on more practical things like an overhead projector at a college campus or an reenactment of his inauguration.

Everything looks good for the Marlins this year...if the bullpen and Lindstrom perform, playoffs are in the horizon.

The Nationals are ranked the worst team in the Majors by Sports Illistrated. The next team ranked near the bottom is the Marlins. Only the Mets and Phillies have good teams in this division.

The Marlin's GM Larry Bienfest has been doing an excellent job filling this team with young talent. Fans will get treated to many victories. Chances are if you go to a couple of games they may win at least one. Don't expect this young team to make the playoffs. Many good young players are going to get traded due to economics.

Sports is in many ways a reflection of what society has become. The Marlins act like they are broke and expect the public to bail you out or else you loose all those concession stand jobs. They have the gaul to blame the fans when they are the ones who drove fans away from the games. The present economic downturn has not effected the Marlins. They were looking for a bailout for years anyway. A retractable domed stadium in one of the most crime ridden sex offender ridden homeless ridden neighborhoods in America is going to change anything you are wrong.

Great game, I had great seats behind home plate. Emilio did an admiral job and the Marlins top 5 in the order brought havoc to the Nationals. Good to see. The one bad spot in all this was when Mark Wiley went out to the mound as the Nats got runners at 2nd and 3rd with no out and their truly only power hitter coming up with first base open. I figured any coach would tell Ricky one of only two things. Walk him intentionally or pitch away from him and hope he strikes out. Na, go right at him. See ya. Next guy hits a sharp grounged to Ricky which would have been a custom 1 - 2 - 3 double play. Next guy gets out and it would have been a beautiful day! But, it was nice to see the Marlins rise to the occasion. Ricky will be fine and ready for the Mets saturday night probably against Johan Santana. Nice matchup! I'll be there.
