Good article. But why are you discussing flores in an article about a trade that didn't involve him. He was a rule 5 draft or whatever that is called. I realize the goal is to make your side look as good as possible, but then maybe rename your article...Mets young talent flourishing in Washington.

He's being discussed because Schneider's move allowed for Flores to play full time. At least that's how they're trying to frame it. If things had gone to the National's actual plan--Paul LoDuca would be starting almost every game. But that didn't happen so they're trying to pump up both Flores and Milledge.

As a Mets fan, I still wonder whether this will look good 5 years from now but I can't complain about it now. If Church could come around again and play close to how he was and do so for a few years--I'd say it would be even.

The other thing to remember is that Milledge had worn out his welcome on many levels in the Mets organization. The change of scenery has also probably helped his development...
