Thats because Willis SUCKS! The image I cannot get out of my head is how he ALMOST lost the game for the Marlins in the World Series a few years ago by walking everyone and giving up hit after hit after hit and when they showed him on the bench after they FINALLY pulled his talentless arse, he was smiling and eating sunflower seeds. How he even STAYS in the majors is complete and total amazement to me as SOMEONE in the organization MUST be related to him.

This entire team needs to go. Please, let's not spend one penny on a new stadium for a bunch of scrubs and an owner who couldn't care less. Let the people of Las Vegas or wherever they want to move to have them.
Thanks for the memories but it's time to move on!
And please, let's not hear from the Marlins' fan base on here. After all, judging by how many people go to the games, nobody really cares.

Spoken like someone that lives in a state without a MLB team. Yes, the Marlins are a bunch of undervalued players that are, again, in a slump. Let us not forget how this team bounced back under the leadership of Girardi last year. As far as sending the team packing, there is only one person that needs to be sent packing and that is the rookie manager. Sorry Fredi, if the team is losing, it is the managers fault.

Even if willis had only given up one run one, they would have still lost the game.

Like I said before...Trade the DTRAIN!!

And everyone out there---quit hating on our team. We have 2 championships in the last 10 years. Pretty F'n impressive. We always go through a transitiion phase before the next championship--this is it now.

As far as trading the whole team...you must be a complete moron.

I would have pulled Willis after one inning. He got BOMBED by the Nationals and the Cardinals. Even Willis said somethings not right. Send him to AAA work out his problems. If he continues, he will be competing on who is worse Julio or Willis.

One of the problems scoring runs these days is Uggla. He's not fit to hit second. If you keep track of the last 15-games, you'll see that he has left more runners on base than any other hitter in the team.Hermida is more fit to hit second. As for the rookie manager, he must be blind not to see this problem. Move Uggla to #6 spot & you'll see production.

I am beginning to wonder if Dontrelle has a drinking problem that may now be extending to his performance on the field. He seems to be a great guy and a great teammate, but this guy was pulled over for DUI earlier this year, and his performance is not up to his 2005 standards. Things like this happen to young athletes and I am starting to think that he is going through more than just a slump.

The decision to fire Joe Girardi is haunting this team. Primarily made up of inexperienced players, they need good coaching more than just about any other baseball team. Since Fredi took over, I haven't seen any improvement in the players, in fact, the team is not playing as well as they did by the second half of the 2006 season. Uggla strikes out way too many times, Ramirez has limited range at short, and has trouble finding first with his throws, the team's fielding is an embarassment, and starting pitching has tanked. I appreciate that the manager of an inexperienced team needs to show patience, but hey, this is supposed to be a pro team.......Fredi you need to take some action NOW!!!

He needs a change of scenery.Probably is'nt thrilled with having to be "the man" on a rebuilding team.Would'nt be surprised if he was hitting the bottle.Send him to ANAHEIM.We suddenly have an opening.

There is nothing Joe Girardi, or even Casey Stengal could have done to preven the injuries that have affected this team, especially the starting rotation. In fact, considering the injuries to the pitching staff, you have to wonder if Girardi didn't overwork such a young group of players last season.

Well said! Although, I don't necessarily agree with trading Willis just yet. Give him the rest of the season to find his groove and then make a decision. The guy is a class-act, a team ambassador (despite the DUI) and deserves a 2nd chance.

Old geriatric, cigar smoking, moron Jack did not care about pitch counts--REMEMBER!!!!! And just go and check out Dontrelle's pitch counts under Trader Jackass. Dontrelle is basically eroding and trace it back to the Senile Skipper. So Sad!!

Hey stupid, did you ever even once consider that I might be in NC on business or vacation? I live in Pembroke Pines and attend those putrid Marlins' games. They couldn't even attract a crowd recently when they had Gloria Gaynor, Tavares, and some other washed up group from long ago.
So my premise remains the same...let them go!!!!
I just don't get your attitude. Like you, I am a Marlins fan and have attended about 12 games this year. Yes, I am disappointed in the attendance but that sure as hell doesn't mean I want them to leave. Why would I base my opinion of the team leaving on others lack of interest? If you went to your favorite restaurant and it was only half-filled would you want the restaurant to move? Of course not. On a related note concerning the "putrid" Marlins,(hmm, maybe you're not a fan) at 45-50 they have a better or equal record than 12 other teams (40%) and are just 7.5 games out of first in the NL East which is closer than 14 other MLB teams in their respective divisions - and there are still 67 games (40%) of the season left! They are a young team, with several stars in the making, and I'll support them to the end. Oh yeah, build them a new stadium, too.

I'm actually vacationing in Charleston--why does this say Knoxville??? Wish I was up in Elon, NC so I could leave word with all the young pitchers in that college town to Stay Far Away From Moron Jack!!!

Come to think of it--did Jack's tenure also have something to do with Burnett, Pavano, Penny and Looper arm problems that occured under or near his watch.

The only thing I don't blame that old fool for is Urbina going back to Venezuela and starting that guy on fire.

Don't believe in pitch counts???? Well, I don't to a certain extent but not to the point of lunacy. Happy Jack??
