4.5 innings with 6 free passes at Double A against a weak West Tenn team is enough to bring up a one pitch thrower?
You've faced him, KW Fan?
One pitch?
He had more than that this spring.

Yes, although I'm not a fan.
Simply put, the team does not have another player they can plug into the starting role, unless you want another trip down Broadway.
Pitching isn't the problem anyway. The problem has been the bats and injuries.
But i'm glad to see the team using Nix as a UT, because I've had enough of Lillibridge.
Quick health to Anderson and Wise, and keep Nix as the UT guy.
Heck, I'd rather see Betemit at SS if it means sending him down to learn how to take a pitch and a short cut.
With all due respect (as you are one of the few with any brains on here) pitching HAS BEEN a problem..
It looked in spring that Colon and Contreras would be pushed by Richard and Poreda...
Colon has been OK and Contreras bad.
Richard has been below average.
Poreda didn't make the squad.
Floyd has been below average and as I stated last year, will never put together a year like last year and should have been dealt when his stock was too high (and you all got up from your Xbox's and threw stuff at the computer)...
Danks has gotten lit up his last two times out and may only be a 3 instead of a 1 or a 2.
Buehrle has been terrific but we all know one of those bad streaks is ahead..
Linebrink hasn't been anything special or worth the money in the pen which means more Dotel.

Nix is not a shortstop - and he cannot play shortstop. He's never played center field in his entire career ... and he's barely average at third base.

What makes Jayson Nix look anything resembling a Major League player is his defense at 2B. If he switches positions, you take away the one thing that he does well...

Poreda has walked 16 batters in 27.1 innings. He's also hit four guys. The guy has good stuff, but his control goes haywire at times.

And yes, Jeff. This is news because it goes in the minor league record books as a no-hitter.

Contreras also has control problems, we've seen that horror story. I'd like to just see Poreda for a start or two. Bring him up

This is one of your better posts "nada". If it was only three letters shorter it would be your best ever.
