Tony, okay if I call you the "tool"? "Great respect"? Yeah, and that why Ned and the organization substantially underpaid the man during his tenure here,'cause they had great respect for him.
Oh, and Tony for the mother of all laughers, well, I love Guo/Kuo as much as anyone, but to say he's overcome his arm troubles...I'd use the word "delusional" but it isn't quite strong enough.
Lastly, next time, when Ned says this "great respect" shite, you might follow up and provide us with his response to, Ned, if you and the organization respect Saito so much, for both who he is and what he's done, then why was he substantially underpaid for all three of his years with the team? That's how you stop being the man's propaganda mouthpiece or tool.

I am getting nervous because Etier is not in the fold as of yet. Does anyone know the status of Nomar? Is he signed for next season?

Lowe is gone. Brad Penny is gone. What is Colleti doing? I mean, we need a short stop (BADLY). We need 2 starters (including an ace). Billingsley is great but too young to take on the ace title. Right now our line up is: STARTERS: SS - Chin-Lung Hu 2B - Blake DeWitt 1B - James Loney 3B - Casey Blake C - Russell Martin LF - Andre Ethier CF - Andruw Jones/Juan Pierre RP - Matt Kemp SP - Chad Billingsley SP - Hiroki Kuroda SP - Clayton Kershaw SP - James McDonald? SP -????? I think we need a #1 & a #5 starter. We need a short stop and we need to start praying that either Andruw Jones puts it together for next season, or that Manny decides to sign for a 2-year or 3-year contract. I really was hoping Furcal would come back but I understand his health issues so I'm not going to bash Colleti for not giving him a 10M+, 3-yr contract. But he needs to figure it out SOON!

Joe,
I have to agree with you. Colletti is wasting time. There appears to be now way to get rid of Jones except to give him away and pay some of his salary wherever he goes. Just the cost of saving a few bucks on all the towells he needs may be worth it.
I would suggest to Ned as I have previously emailed him, that some of the best under paid young arms are in Seatle. They could be a steal if Ned is willing to give the Mariners Jones and pay part of his salary for one or maybe two. Some of those young arms were losing by one run on a constant basis, check their stats, cause Colletti obviously didn't.
It is imperative that he sign Nomar to be the club house leader and that ever present contributing utiility player, pinch hitter and DH in the Interleague games. Look at last season when we totally sucked at DH in the Interleague games, A few more wins there would have made the season very tolerable.
As for the current pitchers, they are not bad at all, but need some strength in numbers, thats why Beimel needs to be signed. He is a lefty that produces. I would even toy with starting him if he could lose a few more pounds.
And one last thing would be to switch Duncan and Bowa on the bases as coaches. Duncan has much better judgment, not to say I don't appreciate Bowa's enthusiasm.
Finally, my hat is off to the McCourt's they have improved the stadium so well, now just try to improve the front office and get rid of Colletti and do the right thing and promote Kim Ng as the GM, she knows more baseball than Ned ever will. She is one chick that can make good decisions, I am surprised Obama didn't select her for his cabinet.
