Hanrahan is not a competent relief pitcher and is unlikely to become one. He lacks control so he walks hitters then throws hard but hittable fastballs trying to get out of the jam he created. Bringing him into a game is like throwing gasoline on a fire. Armando Benitz and Jorge Julio performed similarly in Baltimore. This is what happens when teams trade rof other team's players with uhfulfilled "potential". Too many Pirate trades have been that type this year. Olendorf on the other hand was a good pick up last year.
