At the rate Joe is going, he'll be working with his other brother soon as well.....schlepping cars in Inver Grove Heights.

Most people are pretty darned honest when posting, so here's a blunt question: Who frigging cares whether Jake and Joe can be reunited? Most of us, I think, care only about whether Mauer will ever get back to the Twins. We enjoy watching Mauer play and know that he can contribute to the team. His hometown boy status is important to us, too, but we're, above all, most concerned with simply getting him back in uniform with the major league ball club and a little bit less concerned about his family news.

Joe Mauer signed a contract for 184 million dollars. He won't have to schlepp anything.

What I want to know is when is one of the local sportswriters going to grow a pair? Start asking the twins some hard questions about this. Since when does a 28 year old have "tired legs". I'm no pro athlete but I remember my 20's. And I could go all day everyday.

As what? Ushers? Ticket sellers? Can't have the 186 million dollar man do anything that might cramp him up. Sheesh the worst all time sports contract. Dump this chump for some fat stumpy Latino who at least can play if they are hurt. Which is a big if for this mirage.

Maybe our training staff needs to get the boot! Why on earth is our entire team a bunch of woosies this year! Its pathetic! There is a awesome injury treatment system RIGHT HERE in Apple Valley that helps THOUSANDS of athletes keep healthy, and the training staff at the Twins wont even talk to them, heck neither does the Wild... absolutely STUPID!

This is Jake Mauer's fourth season as a manager in the Twins' minor league system, and there is a chance, for the first time, that he'll get to write his younger brother's name on a lineup card in an official professional baseball game.

I am so excited I think I have a B@ner

If you don't know whether you have one or not, I feel bad for your wife.

Maybe I don't have a wife, maybe I have a boyfriend. That should rile up some of you Republicans. You will never know.

"It's not far-fetched for Jake to hope he could manage Joe in the major leagues someday."

If Joe actually ever plays in the major leagues again. Glad the Mauer family takes pleasure in ruining this franchise. Paying Joe will go down as THE biggest mistake in Twins history

So who did you buy your car from? One of those schleppers was rather valuable then, weren't they?

Really? Josh Hamilton is playing for the Rangers' Double A team tonight. Nelson Cruz is playing for the Rangers' Triple A team this weekend. Scott Kazmir is pitching for the Angels' Triple A team. Chase Utley was playing with the Phillies' Single A team in mid-May.
