To quote Dick Allen "Get that $#%@in Mic Outta My Face" or was it Tony LaRussa's "You Don't Know #@$% About Welding Let Alone Baseball"...Maybe Carlton Fisk's Memrable Quote of " Run You Overpayed Pussye!", No wait it was Al Lopez's Great Line of " Our Pitching Takes So Many Beatins I'm Swearin Out A Warrent For Spousel Abuse Against The Royals!"...Ohh Who Cares, The Twinkiee's Lost Too So $#@% It, Lets Beat The Rangers & Burn Them 80's Uni's....They Blow!

Don, I actually liked the 80's uni's. So instead of burning them, sell em to me!!!
But today was a bad loss, mainly b/c it was at home and it was to the Royals (Groan). But this is why those early season sweeps are huge b/c it gives them just a little extra margin for error durning cold streaks and tough times that they wouldn't have had otherwise. Eventhough they sucked for the past week, I still like the pitching. ALthough 1 more starter to replace contreras for good, or another bullpen guy like Fuentes would put this team over the top. So Sox fans don't overreact to one series loss. If this becomes habit over the nmext month, then you can get pissed. |

I hope this isn't the end. But, I think it is. Another meltdown by Ozzie merits comparisons to a little boy who cries wolf.. Our team is hitting well just when the pitching sinks to it's lowest.

This team gets more maddening to watch with each passing game. I was at last night's game and I thought it couldn't get any worse, but the Sox proved me wrong, as the starting pitching is beginning to wilt and we're doing a repeat of last year's performance of not hitting in the clutch. And why didn't the ump warn Horatio Ramirez after he did the same thing to Dye just last night?
|
||||
Hey loser, the Sox swoon is starting. Stick with the Cubs. |
||||

I don't suppose you all like me posting on your board, but that darn Cubs board, all they know, and want to talk about, is baseball.

Between Fontenot, Theriot, Fukudome and Soto; there is not a better young group of contact hitters in the league. When we get Soriano back the team will be unstoppable. What a great game to watch today, Dempster looks outstanding. I can't believe we finally have 3 starters that can match up with anyone in the playoffs. This is the best team Chicago has ever seen. What do you guys think? Lets go Cubs!!

Ha! I don't think most people will get it, but I think it's hilarious. |

Best team Chicago has ever seen? Your team hasn't won a WS in 100 years... lol.... Again, another silly Cubs fan. Such losers...lol |

I did see the Sox a lot in '05, their starting pitching got hot at the right time, had some timely hitting in the playoffs with Iguchi, Crede and Konerko but that was maybe the 4th best Sox team I've seen. I'd take the '94 and '83 team over the '05. They got very lucky and had weak competition in the playoffs. Using the W.S. as a barometer is lazy and inaccurate. You think the Cardinals were the best team a few years ago...silly Sox fan. You're just not very bright. Most Sox fans have an intellectual constraint, don't feel bad you have a lot of company at the Cell. |

I think I hurt someone's feelings... You'll get over it. The pain of your team not seeing the WS again will overtake the hurt feelings you have for me right now. The WS means that you are the best team that year. I know you wouldn't like using that as a barometer, but again, you're a Cubs fan. You guys wouldn't know what a WS looked like if it hit ya in the face. I'll admit when a team does badly... You guys blame goats and fellow "fans". |

I've noticed that Cubs fans like to find reasons why and how the Sox won. You guys use words like "very lucky" and "weak competition". Again, this comes from fans who blame their losses on goats and fans. We in the real world blame the wins on having a great team on the field.

Silly me, I thought the WS champ represented who was able to best navigate through a 4 series stretch once they reached the playoffs. My bad. Fortunately for Sox fans, the team hit a good stretch in a year when they had the mighty Astros to play. Did anyone outside of Chicago actually witness those games? I'm happy that you and the other 24K people that care will always have that moment. |

That is the dumbest post of the year. Crede is a stellar third baseman and part of the heart of his team. |

Cubs fans are able to discern the level of competition and make appropriate judgements. That is an advanced concept for Sox fans that believe whatever Kenny Williams tells them to believe. Most likely you will wake up tomorrow and spend your day folding T-shirts and putting them in a box. Then you will go home when a Cub fan says you can leave the factory. I imagine it is probably a difficult existence. |
||||
LMFAO at that one pal. Then why all the hate for Bartman? http://www.youtube.com/watch... The Marlins went on to win the WS in 03 yet, all the Cub fans can remember is this. |

You can say that about every team for every year. You pretty much base the winner of the WS on luck. Very nice. A true Cubs fan. By the way, I rather have the WS as a moment to remember than what you guys have... Lets see... - Blame a goat. - Blame a fellow fan for the results of the playoffs due to a foul ball. - Being known as the "lovable losers". - Going on 100 years without a WS. - Choking at the end of the year every time the Cubs start to look good. - Fans that don't pay any attention to the game while at the game. Now I know us Sox fans have some good ones as well, namely the rednecks that went on the field. But when the name of the game is to win it all, we have the WS. You have Old Style.:) |
