Maybe Kenny Williams can try to "engineer" another trade for a NL has-been pitcher to lit a fire under Clayton Richard.

What do the Sox really think of '07 first round draft pick Aaron Poreda? First, they try to trade him. Now, he sits on the bench for ten days making only two token appearances for two innings in mop-up duty. It's time to see what the kid can do. START HIM!! Clayton Richard isn't the answer and Bartolo Colon isn't the future. Of course if the Sox continue to play defense like they did tonight it's not going to matter who's pitching.

Agree. If Poreda is good enough to come out of the bullpen, let's see what he can do as a starter.

He will Be starting, relax. They are trying to get him used to the Bigs slowly. He will be in the rotation within a month or even sooner if they need him to be to try and stay in the race.

IF the Sox fall out of the race (LONG ways to go) Then this season will Not be a waste. Valuable Playing time for Beckham,Poreda,Getz etc... This club will be a good club for awhile.

Did you listen to Haek last night? Wow! Hawk, ever the company man and generally digging it deep guy, succumbed to a new low.

The Game:

The Sox are throwing the ball all over, being lackidasical, being run out of the building. I still want to know how a guy stealing second can score on a throw down the 3rd base line into left field. Pods ,ust have been jogging to the ball.

The Booth:

Hawk kissing every inch of Reinsdorf's body when talking to Aaron. Oh Jerry this, Jerry that. He gives more to inner city black programs blah blah blah.

Hawk, you are, the ultimate homer and ass-kisser. What size undies does Jerry wear? My God dude, I'm embarrassed for you. Show some self-respect.

I would make Clayton Richard practice fielding bunts along the first base line over and over with a bunter, a runner and Konerko on first until he makes the play flawlessly 25 times in succession.
Only after repeated practice with actual runners, bunters and fielders will he learn sufficiently to master the rather minor play.

Looks like Richard went to the Steve Sax school of throwing to first base. But a win is a win & at least the bats got going.Like the core of Sox youth also,Beckham,Getz & Poreda..Great to see sports greats honored b4 game. Was lucky to be in attendance when Hank Aaron played in Milwaukee in 50s,certainly the legit all the time home run leader.

I very rarely post on the Sox forum because I don't like when the Sox fans take over the Cubs forum with trash talk. But I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the White Sox for beating the Reds and pushing the Cubs ahead of Cincinnati in the standings.

Oh, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there! Put away the "honey-do" list, crack open a cold one, and take the day off. I plan to.

Watch Getz paly 2B on a daily basis-it is a joke-maybe worst fielding Sox 2B in history-makes Orta look like a gold-glover--

Who designed those God awful throwback uniforms?-Sox never wore those on 1965 as stated-must have got a discount from Russell Athletic..

Hey KW, we still don't need a gold-glove, leadoff hitter, 27 year old, allstar CF-who now has 12 homers--do we?
Guess Atlanta wanted him more--they gave up Gorkys Hernandez!!!

(rather had McClouth over Peavy)

Quit sucking up to us, Nova...
We feel badly that the Cubs benefited from yesterday's win.

Don't know why. We certainly don't care that beating Cleveland helped you stay out of the cellar...

Dear Nova...
Under no circumstances will the White Sox finish in the cellar and you'll see them rise to the top as the weeks go on.
My question for you is, how in living hell did you qualify yourself for an advice column?
Do you have a psychology degree or anything like that?

humorously curious

Yeah, I keep forgetting about Kansas City (they're easy to forget). As long as they're in your division, there is ZERO chance of ever finishing in last, L0L! And hey, it looks like the Reds are losing again! I checked WGN for the Cubs game and saw it's 2-0. Keep it up, Sox, you're helping us out! We appreciate it.
