Being waived by the Orioles was the BEST thing that could hace happened for Fiorentino's MLB career! Fiorentino will now be given a chance to play MLB with the Reds and he will be another in a long line of players released by the O's to become steady, valuable, MLB players for there team! Fiorentino thanks the Orioles for getting him out it's horrible baseball system!

Another bonehead move by the Orioles but I think Fiorentino will flourish with this move. He needs a fresh start and was being buried here anyway. He will be a good bench player for the Reds. Watch the great numbers he puts up. tees I agree with you totally.

I wish fioentino well he is still a younger player. The swisher deal and others are prime examples of a packed farm system being used. I hope the mariners, reds, and dodgers remember it when they watch post season on tv. The pitcher they all say they need to put them over the top is there if they pull the trigger. They all have overflowing farm systems and the tigers and white sox have shown them you get #1 players only by giving up some top talent in return not just who you want to give up..

This is a kid who will be much better with the Reds in time. Fiorentino was not even a consideration with the idiots who run the Birds. He's a much better player than what they O's think but then again the O's have been making bonehead decisions ever since Angelos bought them too.

I am not sure of the rules, but does Jeff have to stay on the Reds roster the entire year? If not, does he have to be offered back to the Os?

Figures, They pick up a player that the other team couldn't wait to get rid of and lose one the Orioles fans love. Great.

Let's face it, this team will never win with good ole Pete at the helm.
all of us could be the GM and have the results we've been living with the last 10 years.....Peter must go.

Roch this move made no sense to me. Jeff is only in his 3rd year and had better numbers in the same league as Roberson. What am I missing? His steals are not there for percentage, no power, high strike out numbers to walks...just makes no sense. Can anyone enlighten?

Is Rick Maese a woman? He looks a feminine geek, but I didn't know he was a woman. She is one ugly woman. I agree he is a horrible sports writer.

Well the O's got him back (Fiorentino). Let Jeff get his timing and get back in baseball shape after his layoff from his injury and he will produce. He's hungry and I think is actually happy to be back. Give him the chance!
