The Twins have been hitting the ball fairly well. They've shown some power this season. There are weaknesses, but the better hitters appear able to make up the difference. Getting a good, solid pitching rotation going should be the priority for the moment. The Twins still don't have an ace, but to at least get each guy in the rotation pitching consistently well will mkae the Twins real contenders in the Central.

This may be what it takes to kick start Liriano. I think the Twins have made it too easy for Liriano by automatically assuming that he is one of their top starters.

How about Liriano just go out and be himself rather then trying to be a Santana clone? I don't have to see 18 strikeouts a game and no hitters every night. Go out, pitch a quality game and give the offense a chance to put up 4-6 runs a game to be able to win. We don't need/shouldn't have to score 10+ runs a game to win every time.

Time to make adjustments. Liriano to the bullpen. Get him those short outings to get his head and motion right. Young desperately needs AB's. Send him to the minors for needed work. When he's ready, Cudyer's value should be at it's peak. Time to trade him and get the outfield of the future in place. Gomez may need time in the minors too, but dealing with a somewhat fragile ego there.
