do you ever answer any questions, or do you just insult readers? seriously, you're going to defend michaels? he's sucked for two years. what makes wedge think he's going to be any better the more he plays this year? he doesn't hit for power and he doesn't get on base. he does nothing. the guy's question was reasonable, but do you address it? no. why would you. you hack.

How can someone complain about David Dellucci? The truth is: 1) He is leading the team in slugging percentage, 2) Only 1 player on the team has a higher batting average with over 33 at bats, 3) Only 1 player on the team has hit more home runs, 4) He has the highest ratio of home runs per at bat and 5) He has the third highest OBP for players with over 28 at bats.

Yes, and the last time I looked at a calendar, it was April 27. Do you seriously believe this is who he is? |

Hey Seldom,
Nice insults. You're suppose to be the adult here -- it's your column and all. I think the readers are suggesting Wedge do something in between nothing and insulting the outfielders as you suggested. Instead of offering childish come-backs why don't you log on under a false identity like the rest of us doctors and lawyers and act like a regular sports fan instead of a snob. Have a nice day. |

Tribe hitting just plain stinks. I couldn't agree more with Sheldon. It all start at the top with Dolans' the Cheap_A$$es who failed to spend any real money to help 3B & LF in the offseason.

Just like a true politician, Ocker avoided the real questions and the truth-the offense stinks and Wedge and Shapiro did nothing about it in the offseason and are in real denial!

Hey "Truth",
You left out the fact that Dellucci is the worst fielding left fielder in the Majors! How many runs has he given up this year with his misplays? Also being the team stat leader on this horrible hitting team is no distinction. |

What's scary is the fact that this team reminds me of the teams they had when I was growing up in the 60's and then in the 70's. One, maybe two players that were worth their weight (and usually got traded to the Yankees for some cash in the owner's pocket). They couldn't hit and with the exception of Rick Manning, usually couldn't field. I went to the Perfect Game, and bitched at my wife (who bought the tickets for my birthday) all the way there. Who wanted to go watch the Indians lose, and on a shitty night to boot. I sat there bundled up in my duck hunting coat until about the 7th inning when I figured things were pretty interesting. The difference with this team is that they have pitching. Who wants to watch this team squandering great pitching performances with no run production. It's painful. We knew we needed the bats last year and the manangment did nothing to bring anything in to help. They couldn't have been so delusional that they thought last years team wasn't a fluke, could they?
