I can always tell when the Sox are gonna lose.

Last Monday when the Sox eeeked out that win against Minnesota, I saw they were having a tough time winning that game, the Sox were losing their command and slipping back into the not hitting routine. But they won that 4th game vs. Minnesota and went to Detroit and proceeded to lose the next 3.

Last night's home game, the Sox didn't win that in a commanding way, Gavin Floyd had absolutely nothing. I knew when I saw Danks in Saturday night's game that something was bad. The entire game was torture, all the Rockies stolen bases, the wild pitch by Danks, it was like watching a slow death.

So the lowly Rockies who have won 10 road games in 2008 have now won 11 road games, thanks to the Sox. Is this the start of another "we don't feel like hitting anymore" Sox routine? I hope not, I've "gone Ozzie" here at home too many times in the past year and a half.

When the Sox are ON they are ON. Anybody who is a fan can tell when they're letting go.

Yeah, I know it's only 1 loss but it was a MESS.

God help us all.

They are overrated, if ou don't score--or, they are embarked upon, wisely.

Same thing with OBP--that is useless, if you aren't crossing the plate. Both stats tend to be an overall reflection of the team, as a whole, when juxtaposed to the runs scored.

I do like stolen bases, as opposed to the game of pinball baseball morphed into, the past few years. To me, it takes more baseball skill to manufacture runs (especially when a team, like the Sox, isn't bhitting well), than to sit back and try to knock the walls down. I appreciate the power game, but, even now, old-fashioned baseball skills (stealing bases, hitting behind the runner, etc)are important.

It's sad. And off season we thought the pitching was going to be the problem. I feel sorry for the pitchers who have pitched their hearts out. Maybe it's time to rebuild the offense and send the millionaires packing.

Hi Alan. Yes, that is sad, those millionaires on the White Sox could probably be outdone by someone who works at McDonalds. Shame on them for not backing up their pitchers. The pitching staff has put the Sox in 1st place. Thanks to all of them especially the bullpen!

I thought Scott Podsednik would be a part of that incredible base-stealing!! I wonder if his crabby manager will put him in tomorrow's game?

Guys please we don't need an overanalysis of the Art of Base Stealing! The White Sox got their a*s*ses handed to them big-time. The Sox are the ones who look like a car full of assclowns as they ignite non-winning teams into greatness---now Detroit is winning 12-7 today,(I know it's against LA, but Detroit is winning!) Minnesota is winning, too.

Forget it, tomorrow I'm going back to watching Nascar. Happy Father's Day.

Top 10 Sure fire slumpbusting ideas

10) Fly the Silicone Slumpbusting Skanks instead of the Sox Championship Flags (they come down when we have a double digit lead in the AL Central)

9) No more Salsa or heavy metal till we bust this slump....Debbie Boone's "You light up my life" on a continueous loop set on 12!(I see Dye going postal after a week!)

8) Bikini Wax!....The entire team!(That ones the Bronski Tripletts recommendation!)

7) Punchout Oprah (This won't do much for the teams psyche...its mostly for me!)

6) Roadtrip, All of the team on a Bluebird Schoolbus and they goto Spooner Wis. and eat at Bamboozles Northwoods Tiki Bar (What you'd want them in Berwyn?!!)

5) Burn the Cups!, there cursed!

4) You go 0 for 4 you wear a dress your next at bat (The Nieces recommondation...they gonna hit like girls ,then they should dress like them!)

3) Shave the entire teams eyebrows,(again it won't do much but it might freakout the opposing pitcher!)

2) Replace the their photo on the Jumbotron with their Prom Date Photo

1) Have Ozzie recreate the scene from The Untouchables where Di Niro goes Crazy with the bat...on the Coaching staff!!

What are we? Detroit's good luck charm or something? Opposing teams LOVE the Sox as our boys catapault them into winning streaks. I'm getting outta town next week and hiding my head in the sand somewhere. Even tho Lou Pinella doesn't want Precious Z pitching against the White Sox for some unknown reason, we're still T O A S T !!! If God smiles upon the Sox next week and the week after that and the Sox get a sweep that will be a twenty-ton miracle! I just can't trust the Sox.

i agree. you cant score 10 runs every game. your always going to have a bad game here and there. the lineup has really picked it up these last couple of weeks compared to how they started the season off. cabrera, swisher, thome, and konerko are all hitting the ball better now. and uribe came through in the clutch the other night.

Paul Konerko suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!
All of a sudden he can't hit or field. The 'Paulie is really hard on himself' routine is getting old. He isn't struggling because he tries too hard, he's struggling because he's in semi-retirement.

Memo to Nick Swisher:
There is no such thing as the perfect hitters pitch. It's simple, swing at the close ones and don't swing at the bad ones.

Finally, if yesterdays telecast isn't enough to convince Sox management that Ken Harrelson and D.J. Knownothing need to go, I don't know what will. To say that Konerko didn't deserve an error was laughable. Ditto for getting on the home plate umpire with regards to Carlos Quentin's hissy fit.
