Major rebuilding not in GM Shapiro's plans

If the Indians do trade C.C. to Milwaukee Matt Laporta would look good in Right Field. Plus, with Wes Hodges in the Futures Game at 3b at Akron,I'd try for Escobar at SS versus another 3b prospect. He might be the leadoff
hitter the Tribe needs.

Marte who was so very important that he secured a roster spot without much (some would be less kind and say, "any") effort now is simply shrugged off. Coco Crisp for nothing; this goes down as the second worst move of the Shapiro-Wedge regime.
#1 is, of course, a no-brainer: getting rid of Brandon Phillips for nothing.
Coco and Phillips would look awfully good in Indians uniforms right now, and their presence would have made subsequent moves such as keeping Delucci and dumping Kouzmanoff unnecessary. Just think for a moment, an infield of Garko, Phillips, Koz, and Peralta or maybe Cabrera. Ah well, if might-have-beens were negotiable than Colavito would never have been traded and before that Score wouldn't have been hit in the eye.
So the dominos fall, pushing the team to last place, bye-bye CC, and a lost season.

It should be in his plans. Does he really think he can build a consistent winner with this bunch of Class A hitters? What they did last year is as close as they'll get with this group of clowns.
