Let's see... Ozzie lost it in the first month of the season, and the team turned it around. It took half a season and a lost season, I might add, before Wedge could be critical. What does that tell anyone.

One player that should not go in the fire sale is Blake. He is too important to the overall team. Hopefully, he doesn't have a constant position next year, but he is worth his salary. He really is the comsumate professional on this team. It was not CC. He was an emotional baby.

There's more to being a professional than giving your best when you feel the worst. What if your best is not good enough to compete at the level you're in?

Casey Blake is worth over $6 million a year? To whom? Because he's a "professional." Please. Suit up my dead father, heck, he was a "professional," too.

Why pay Blake inflated cash for half a season if you can unload his paychecks and see what they may have now sitting on the bench and in the farm system. Blake will be 35 in August.

'Bye, Casey. Love the beard.
