Oriole announcer Dave Johnson stated last week the the Birds shipped Bedard to the west coast because he only wanted to pitch a certain amount of innings and be done. The birds could really use use Bedard's 6 plus innings each start.

The Orioles traded an all star caliber left hander for a future offensive outfielder and a group of pitchers. I will leave it up to you to decide who got the better deal.
