Less than three weeks remain until the trading deadline, and right field is right up there with starting pitching as a spot where the Red Sox likely will seek an upgrade.

Gee, here we go again! We sent money and K-Rod to the Brewers for prospects. Now the push is on to trade Beltran. What did the Mets get "players to be named later".....
In other words, we got bubkes as usual and the Mets management team screws their fans once more!
Mets managment = dumb, dumber, dumbest
There is a reason my team is Flushing........

Send the Mutts to LA - and send us the Dodgers - would be great to have a real NL team in NY.

Mutts tried to pawn K-Rod off on the Yankees. Beltran will be the next to go.

Only thing the Mutts have going for them is that they play in the NL - and are in the weak East division.

Hey, I would not call Philadelphia a weak team. They have the best starting pitching rotation in baseball. Their bullpen has injuries and they keep on winning, the Ever Ready Bunny is jealous!

Everyone said the Sillies had "the best starting pitching in baseball" in 2009 too. Then the Yankess kicked their asses in the WS.

NL is weak.

The Boston Socks don't have viable prospects to trade for Beltran.
The Mets don't want any of Boston's garbage.

Yes, I know that the Stankees beat the Phillies in the World Series in 2009. The Yankees payroll is still the most bloated franchise monetarily and they did not win a World Series since 2000. So, all that payroll in the Bronx and only one title won in the new millenium.
