Who are these guys? They are winning on the road with persistence and poise.

Great game by Burres, probably the best of his career. Quiroz was an unlikely hero with the 2-run HR. Albers was bit shaky in the 9th and Sherrill hit the 1st batter he faced. Crede is tough with bases loaded but a weak flyout to RF ended the comeback. Just a great all around game by the Orioles. Fahey made a couple nice plays in the 9th to help out.

Burres is looking like Jamie Moyer in his prime, whats not to like. Quiroz sounds like a fine back-up too, while discussing the game afterward he clearly has a grasp of how to set up hitters.

Trembley doesn't make that many bad bullpen decisions, but he certainly did today. Burres could have finished the game. He shouldn't have put in a reliever until Burres gave up a walk or hit in the 9th.

A five run lead in the 9th,should have given Burres a chance to finish and save the relievers for the 2nd game.

I said that when Loewen gets healthy, we might have "The Big Three" (Guthrie, Loewen, and Cabrera). If Burress keeps this up, we night have "The Big Four!"

Way to go #56!!!

Note: seems some fans will always find something to complain about. If Burres had finished the game, then the issue proably would have been something like the pine tar was not sticky enough.

The O's are exciting to watch! They play with a lot of heart and confidence. The starting pitching has been impressive the past few games and the hitting has been timely when it's needed.

It's going to ber tough to win both ends of a double header but this team just might be able to do it.Unfortunately I don't have much faith in Trachsel but then again I didn't have much faith in Cabrera, so maybe he will prove me wrong. I certainly hope so. GO BIRDS!!!!!!!!

We are rid of the prima donnas and druggies. What is left are baseball players. Wonderful!

Bless MacPhail and Trembley. After a decade it looks like we have a GM and a manager with some brains and on who are on the same page.

Loewen is potentially one of our big three (Guthrie, Loewen, and Cabrera). I always have said that injured athletes should always take their time recuperating, and think about the LONG RUN. So many players, (including Dizzy Dean) have rushed back from an injury, only to ruin their careers. Furthermore, we are doing well in spite of the fact that Loewen has not pitched well yet. We have thirteen pitchers. Let's use them all, and let the chips fall where they may.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
