What a shame about Fox. He's tried so hard to return.
Seeing him break down made me sick.

What a shame that the flubs and Hendry encouraged him and used his spot in the organization instead of a young talent with a healthy physical history.

Look, the Cubs have been just been blind sided this year.

Who would have guessed that Milton would yell and scream at umps so much that he would have gotten suspended?

Who would have guessed that Milton would have little nagging injuries keep him from playing more than 50% of the time?

Who would have guessed that Fox's arm would fall off again?

Who would have guessed that Fontentot would not be a sufficient back-up 3rd baseman?

Who would have guessed that this Patton kid who never pitched above single A ball would not be ready to pitch at the Major League level?

I mean seriously people, give Tommy Boy a break on this - no one could have predicted any of this stuff ...

None of us see Harden getting hurt anytime this year, right???

Too bad Cubs fans. I never disliked your team until some of you arrogant aholes kept coming up North to Miller Park and calling it Wrigley North. Acting like you own the place. Needless to say this is Karma for you. Milwaukee fans unite in the Cubs fans sorrow now.
Ah great times this is.

Dempster labored through the bottom of Milwaukee's order in the 6th (18 pitches). Why in the world would you throw him out there in the 7th with 110 pitches already? And after the light-hitting Counsell takes him deep, why in the world would Loo let him pitch to Ryan Braun? The $4 million manager and his pitching coach are asleep at the switch.

As for the bullpen that Loo loves to complain about: Michael Wuertz (1.60 ERA, 2 saves for Oakland) was traded for nothing, Luis Vizcaino (0.00 ERA) was released, Chad Gaudin (starting for San Diego)was cut in spring training so Hendry could keep his brilliant Rule 5 pick David Patton (ERA = infinity) and 39 year-old bag of bones Chad Fox is taking up space on the roster yet again because...???

Hendry/Loo/Larry are clearly unable to evaluate talent properly. They must go if the Cubs are to ever sustain success. Give a competent GM this payroll and the Cubs will go deep into October consistently. Ain't gonna happen with these boobs running the show.....

Some little 8th inning things flubs fans are too ignorant to notice.

Everyday occurrences.

Two balls a major league shortstop makes plays on. Not the flubs shortstop.

$12 million Bucketbutt in center has a minor league arm to go with his little league swing.

The worst 97 win team I have ever seen. Playoff certified.

Looks like it's about getting to the point where fans are going to have to start laughing at this joke of a team to keep from crying. I truly think it's time Hendry goes. He's not helped this franchise in several years, and the past 12 months are unexcusable. Obviously another year of losing is here, so the only joy Cub fans might be able to get this season is watching heads roll.

its time for lou to go,after his bonehead decisions in the last two games with milwaukee, not putting marmol in with a 1 run lead and leaving dempster in for the 7 the other night. i guess it really doesnt
matter because there not going to go far with the chumps they have in the bullpen. its time to send the entire relief pitching staff to the minors

Well...SOME of them. Marmol is the real deal, but you can't put him in every night. He'd be burned by June. If Hendrey somehow manages to get some effective middle relievers, things will start to turn around. And don't bring up Wood. His ERA is well over seven.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
