Rested Indians' bats still on break

Full story: Akron Beacon Journal

SEATTLE: Maybe the Indians' four-game winning streak against the Tampa Bay Rays was only a brief respite from the team's established pattern of consistent losing.

Memo to the Tribe:

STOP FORCE FEEDING US DELLUCI! DH? Boy the brain trust sure came up with a clever way of starting out the second half of the season. Putting him at DH is like putting a sink hole in the middle of your line-up. When I saw the line-up a the beginning of the game, I almost broke my TV. 0-3!! again.

This seasons over for the Indians. They will lose about 100 games when it's through.

The Cheapness of the Dolans can not be denied. Had the Dolans had Shapiro trade or sign high dollar veteran free agents in the off season instead of sitting on their fat @$$ wallets, the Indians would be competitive today for the division. They didn't make any moves, and NOPROGRESS FIELD will be empty for the rest of the season less the fools who bought season tickets thinking that the Indians would repeat.

Indians fans take where the sun doesn't shine once again. CC is gone and so is this years dreams of a world series championship team.

Richie Sexson won't platoon for Seattle but willingly does so for the Yankees while his old team picks up much of the tab. The baseball team overall is a big disappointment.
The town loses its NBA franchise. Its football team does make it to the Super Bowl once but quickly fades back into obscurity.
Tell me: is Seattle, at least in sports, Cleveland West?

The bats aren't on break. The entire franchise is on break -- at least while the Dolans are the owners.

Grumps right, we should have spent 10 million on Mariano Rivera... then think of all the games we'd be winning right now!

Sarcasm.

Yawn, yawn. The battle of the cellar dwellers, something Cleveland fans know a lot about.
