Crissakes .......... the season is only 4 games old. Why don't you wait and see where the Yankees are in October - not in April.

I agree, it's early in The Season, but Joe Girardi ... I don't particularly like his managing style. And he always seems "annoyed". But O Good God A'Mightie, is Phil Hughes going to be another head case? We shall see ...

With Junior Joe Girardi at the helm, the Yanks will be in the same spot in September that they are now, barely at .500, 8 or so games out of first. No Mo, Swish & Tex are horrible, Martin couldn't hit a pitched basketball at this point, the bench is full of AARP members. DeWayne Wise? Really? Ibanez? Jones? C'mon, man! Yanks are done...

Oh For God's Sake can it get any worse. YES! NO MO? They're Done. LOL! AARP Members, that's funny. But, I agree. AHaHaaaa "Junior Joe" ... Hilarious !!!:) Your post was funny. Swish and Ibanez have hit a good number of long balls so far. Tex always starts slow. The bats are Ok so far overall. The real problem is --once again-- their rotation has holes. And after seeing Robertson crap out last night -- a new hole at the closer spot.

Agree about Ibanez and Tex.
But OK just isn't good enough. It's not getting the job done. Not when they're leaving runners stranded on base. So there are holes in the batting rotation as well. Can't hit in the clutch to get the on base players in to score.
Cano is not up to par in either offense or defense.
A-Rod is hitting OK, getting on base hits.
They just don't seem to be in their zone and on their game.
I couldn't believe Robertson last night!!!
Course it didn't help that they had only scored ONE run.
So, basically The Yankees have NO closer now.
I've been saying for the last few years, with Rivera getting up there in years, The Yankees needed to start training closing pitchers. And look at WHAT they've trained. Nobody will ever be as stellar as MO, but THIS ...??
But, I also understand the tremendous pressure Robertson or any other Yankee closer is under, big mitt to fill, big mound to step onto in Rivera's shadow.
I believe Rivera's injury was A Blessing, so to speak. If not for it, that silent blood clot could have hit his heart.
Oh Well ... No Divison Win or World Series this Season.

Bucky Dented wrote: <quoted text> Well, Cano woke up last night! and CC was CC They needed that win. Yeah, good to see Cano wake from his slumber. CC is CC, but they still have a problem with their overall starting pitchers. I'm waiting for A-Rod's bat to wake up. And Tex to get his late start going sooner than later. But Jeter's having a helluva Season at the plate. They've GOT to pick it up before going into June. I've noticed, the offense hits much better when inspired by who's pitching. I'm interested to see Pettitte's debut Sunday. How he pitches and how it will effect/inspire the team. We shall see ...
