Probably in Hermida and the kid's best interests if they sit behind the home plate safety net this time.

Well, it's natural for Fish to be spoilers, but a lot of us saw the writing on the outfield wall after that catastrophic series with Colorado. There was still time for the front office to try something, but n-o-o-o-o-o-o, they just bring in Rhodes who is lights out in most of his appearances, and Freddi lets him sit while Pinto throws batting practice at all the critical junctures. Go figger.

Nice move by Hermida. The family can watch him sit on the bench playing with himself. And next year...... buh bye Jeremy.

The problems is the team's ownership. Not spending to retain quality players is what cost this team a shot. Dave Samson says the fans root for the name on the front of the jersey not the back. Take a look at the crowd there buddy. The fans have had it with Loria. That's why you see websites like myMarlins.com and marlinsbaseball.com springing up.

I agree that the Marlins need to change the manager and the owner, because it is unbelievable that a team with less than $30M payroll is were is now, we deserve much better.

October with out Yankees and Mets, that is great $700M payrolls!!!!!!I am happy.

The Marlins biggest losses offensively occurred when Fredi batted Hermida too frequently. It happened too often when Hanley got on base and Hermida would either strikeout or not move the runnerS up. Also when Willingham was out, Luis Gonzalez performed admirably. When Willingham came back, it was painful to watch Willingham endure a huge slump, while Gonzalez stayed on the bench.Fredi also used Pinto and Gregg continuously implode before too much damage was done. THE MARLINS NEED TO GET RID OF WILLINGHAM AND HERMIDA .WE NEED SPEED AND CONTACT HITTERS FOR OUTFILEDERS -NOT SLOW STRIKEOUT ARTISTS.

THe way they have benn playing the last 2 months, the only thing they will spoil is themselves. They will give an edge to both the Phillies and Mets, as easy wins.Maybe they can have more salsa music nights. That will bring in another few hundred non fans.

I hate football. I also really hate the weekly football pool picks.

And the magic number is 16 for the Cubs. Who are in terrible slump. Only in first place because Milwaukee is more terrible.

Dodgers swept the Diamondbacks. Joe Torre is heading back to the playoffs.

Webb lost the Cy Young award. Giants Lincecum deserves the award.

Now to the Marlins. What can you say about this team? More negatives than positives. The pitching is the core of this teams future. We have a better starting pitching staff than the Yankees and about 20 other teams.

Some players will need to sit down with the coaches and decide if they really want to play with this team next year.

Some coaches need to sit down with the front office, and decide, do they really want to coach with this team next year.

To all of those bashing Fredi Gonzalez, be a true fan. Fredi has done a great job this season. Blame some of the players for the disapointing season. There's no problem in blaming Hermida & Pinto when facts speak for themselves.

Anyways, GO FISH!!

Larry Bowa would not be good for this team as manager. He is a good coach, and that is about it.

Did all the Marlin fans switch over to the Dolphins now?

No way these cheap owners will dole out million dollar salaries to these guys. They'll restock with minor league players, and keep the pitchers. The strike-outs, poor base running and bad fielding doomed this team in spite of the homer runs. Good riddence.

We'll take them like we did the last series in New York last year," left fielder Josh Willingham said. Well, If you can put the ball in place instead of striking out, maybe YOU'll take them down. As for numbers, who cares if all the infielders hit 40 homers. Botton line is the you choked at the last minute. Take your 30 homers with you to another team and bring us players that can hit singles and advance runners.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
