I'm sorry, what place are those choking Yankees in again? Oh that's right, 3rd Place!

Listen while we're at it why don't you just pass some info on to the Yankees to not even bother showing up in Oct., I mean why waste a playoff spot with a team like the Yankees that chokes every single year. You guys are slowly becoming the Braves. What is it eight straight years of choking now. Only a few more to go to pass them.

Jim@aol How are you pal? You had to be ecstatic over Andrew Eugene Pettitte's gem?#46 was at the top of his game. 8 innings, 1 run, zero walks & 9 K's. Tremendous. add to that the Thong King, the Giambino with the game winner. Yes they swept 3 from the A's, but let's face it. The yankees are still not hitting. thank God the pitching bailed them out. I felt bad for Justin Duscherer. 10-6 with a 1.87 ERA. The A's have no offense at all. that's tough because one little goof can make the difference between winning & losing. Good job by your team. As for the Mets, maybe it's the NL Least but it is what it is. Mets were fortunate to come out with a split against the Redstockings. Johan & maine were way off, Ollie pitched well enough to get the win but didn't & the pitching duel between Pelf & Volquez didn't materialize. Despite giving up 3 bombs, Pelfrey persevered in getting through 7 gritty innings giving up 5 runs but only throwing an economical 89 pitches. Think about this, If the Marlins beat the Braves tomorrow (Mets & Phillies are off), we'll have 3 way tie heading into Tuesday. calm before the storm at BIG SHEA. It's 1973, 35 years later. I doubt 82-79 will win it but probably 85-90 just like last year. YA GOTTA BELIEVE! Hopefully Johan can bounce back from a subpar outing Thursday & get the starting pitching back on track. Good luck against the TWinkies. Going to be 2 good series in the Bronx & in Flushing. Enjoy Jim old pal. talk to you soon.

Again I must ask: Where are you, Mr. Criticizer of Carlos Delgado? You know who you are, Mr. "Me And My Buddies Boo Him At Every Game, And We're Going To Continue To Boo Him Until He's Off The Team". That is almost an exact quote from one of your postings from earlier this year, and the substance of many more postings you made in between picking your nose, contemplating the snot on the tip of your finger, and licking it off before swallowing. So, are you going to be at the game Tuesday to boo Delgado, you moron? You and your butt-buddies? C'mon moron, entertain us true Mets fans with more of your ill-informed, asinine, completely ignorant comments. Still believe Delgado should be traded, released, or sent to the Mexican League? Maybe we should have signed Richie Sexson? You are truly a moron, wherever you are. I'll be listening for you Tuesday night jerky.

Just a couple of quick points: Yanks have a better record in a stronger division.
It hasn't been 8 years!
And last but certainly not least, my hunch is you would give your nuts to have the Mess in the playoffs and eliminated in any round.
You sound like a very envious individual!

Hi Todd-how are ya buddy?
I think Santana will have a real big 2nd half. I look for Maine to straighten out and Pelfrey will be fine so you should have a very enjoyable 2nd half. Perez is another story. Ya just never know which Ollie is going to show up!
Yup, I was very happy with the weekend results vs the A's. They have the best pitching in the league and the worst hitting. I'll tell ya, that staff is very impressive. Man, they've got a pitching factory out there. They develop them, ship 'em out and bring in new ones. It's unbelievable! In the past couple of years they've lost or traded Haren, Hudson, Zito, etc etc and the new ones just keep showing up.
The Yanks aren't hitting much but that's OK as long as they keep pitching like they have been over the past few weeks. The team ERA is something like 1.86 over the last 11 or 12 games.
Enjoy your week buddy. Dead heat with the Phils with the Phils coming to town. Doesn't get much better then that!
Enjoy and be well!

Just some obvious unbiased facts. Mets beat Yanks this year 4 of 6 and outscored them 38-25 which should have been 40-25 since the bogus HR call on Delgado.
Wow, big deal the yanks just swept a triple AAA club that provides SP for any team that pays the right price and now Yanks have one less loss than Mets.
Thats always the yankee fan excuse a bettter divsion, says who.. Rays and Red Sox both way under .500 on road, nothing so great about either club.

Oh yeah, here's some quick points back. First of all, Stronger Division? Give me a break. The Rays are unproven and everyone else besides the Sox and the Yanks suck. And lets see the Yanks have one less loss then the Mets oooh, and the sox and Rays only have 4 more wins then the Mets. And that's your STRONGER division, LOL. Please the AL East is mediocre at best. The fact that the yanks or Sox are the only ones to have taken the division the last what 15 years or so, says that Division is probably the weakest in MLB. And the fact that the yankees have gotten to so many consecutive playoff appearances and knocked out shows that their division is weak because when it comes time to playing the good teams, they choke. What did you play 5 more games then us last year, ooohhh so envious are we.

Face it, the Yankees of the late 90's are gone.
So keep racking up those division wins. They don't mean anything anyway.

Sorry pal, the Choke of ALL chokes belongs to the Yankees. When you accomplish what NO OTHER team in the hsitory of MLB has EVER done by blowing a 3-0 lead in ANY playoff series let alone the AL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES, you know you choked the worst.
Sure the Mets lost the division, which was hardly the worst collapse ever (the Phillies were up by 6 1/2 games with only 13 to play in 64) the Mets were up by 7 with 17 to play. More games to play means more chances to gain. But besides that, there are NUMEROUS teams throughout MLB history to blow division leads.
But there is only ONE TEAM which stands alone in the history books of MLB as the ONLY TEAM IN MLB HISTORY TO BLOW A 3-0 LEAD IN A PLAYOFF SERIES.
And that honor goes to the YANKEES! And the fact that it happened against the RED SOX makes even even sweeter.
The Yanks are ALL ALONE on that island!

Up 3 games and lose it or up 7 games and lose it. Simple math. Your team has won nothing in your lifetime and have zero rings coming their way anytime in the near future. So settle down.

At least their not the Atlanta Braves of NY. How many consecutive playoff appearances with nothing to show for it will the yankees get. Hmmm, lets see, the numbers at 7 and climbing. If they get in this year it'll be 8, it's simple math. Talk about big time chokers. They're not winning anything anytime soon either.

You really don't want to talk past history do you????? For starters I'd put '96,'98,'99 and oh YES 2000 in front of you! Remember 2000??? All the trash talking that came out of the toilet in flushing and how did that work out?
Ya gotta get there to choke and I think it's better to get there and lose then not get there! Last year was a lot of fun for you fast talking Mess fans I'll bet! Oh just ever soooooo close! HAHAHA

For someone who hates the Mets you do spend an awful lot of time talking about them. You really should get a hobby or perhaps a life. Putting down the Mets all the time isn't going to make the Yankees look any better and it actually makes all Yankees fans like bad.

As in all sports, the past doesn't matter. What matters is this season, right now......want to live in the past, fine, visit Cooperstown.....as of the present time the Mets are tied for 1st and the Yankees are in 3rd. Mets fans are happy right now and we will enjoy it, despite your dumb comments. You see, Mets fans today are true fans, now bandwagoners like lots of Yankee fans......so why not go and discuss you Yankees with the Yankees fans and stop making yourself look even more stupid than you already are.

BTW....it's a game!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Gemini

You're in a very erratic mood today, making you restless, edgy and nervy. It may be almost impossible to settle to anything for long, because, as Mercury slows, you soon lose interest. If life becomes boring you'll want to liven it up in some way and it's likely you'll choose the most disruptive and controversial option you can think of, even though you know this will cause trouble.
