Exactly as I saw it! There was no reason to pull Parnell! I feel bad for Santana. It seems like the guy must pitch mistake free to even have a slight chance of winning. He's certainly not the 1st pitcher to ever deal with an offense that provides him with no run support but he really couldn't pitch much better. |

But they are really good and molesting tax money and clipping every dime from the fans dumb enough to show up at citibank's clip joint.

“There will probably come a point,” Manuel said,“where you’ll think, Wow, we missed a lot of opportunities with Johan.”
Yeah, like the end of game 162 when you realize you've missed the playoffs again. Why is this team so mentally/psychologically feeble that they can't/wont overcome their most glaring problems? |

1 The NY MELTS were happy when they fattened their record against the pathetic teams they just played. The only good thing is that it is more fun seeing them choke out of first place again. |

The results are different when the NY MU TS have to play a real MLB team. Their other Masters... the Braves.

Once again, fundamentals. Reyes needs to keep his eye on the ball and Wright needs to hit those outside fastballs to right. How many times is he going to take those first-pitch strikes? He's too small to be thinking HR every AB.

Who is in First placer HOMOSEXUAL SHORSTOP CAPTAIN ADMIRED? |

Hey reyes you never do! If I was Santana I'd be demanding a trade right away before this team wastes the prime of his career. Now their back to not fielding for him! We already knew that they absolutely refuse to hit for him. So lets add bad fielding and bad relief pitching. Johann, start running for the hills.

All Jerry has to do is forget the pitch count and let his ace finish the game. |

1 I am agree with You but in the other hand if the Mets is a Baseball Team that at soon as Santana is on the mound they turn into mentaly retardes., maybe if they take Santana out the game., Wright and Reyes will start to play Baseball. To be honest, I think the Mets shouldnt use Wright and Reyes when Santana will have to pitch., just give to them the day off. Wright doesnt like to see anybody in the Mets to take the attention ., he is EGO MANIAC and Reyes kind to give up |
||||
HEY AHOLE - they swept this same team as well as the WS champs last week - pay attention. It was a lousy game - and here come the bandwagoners ready to jump after one lousy game - jump already and leave room for the REAL fans. |
||||
Yeah win 7, then lose ONE, and its the same bad team.........get a clue. |
||||
Would you ask to be trade to a team that has a hole in the Shorstop position a guy who has not range at all and is only worry about to run after the 3B of the team ? Why some people that dont have a clue about this game are posting in this Board? Ok Kids BASEBALL 101 EACH TIME THAT SANTANA is going to pitch is going to do it against to the best Pitcher of the opositive team YEAHHHHHH make sense ., So is not going to be easy to hit. You dont even know that and You want to talk like you will be Santana. Santanas games are always going to be like that. At least you change the rotation and you put Santana against to the worst pitcher of the opositive team or you dont use him against to the ACE of the other team., in that case., Why would you pay 137.5 mill for him? To run away from the other Team ACE? |
||||
Usually when a Team lose a game with their ACE On the mound is because several people makes mistakes. Lets assume that each time that Santana will have to pitch., Jerry Manuel will pay his suspensions or will take the day off ., and Reyes and Wright will have a day off., Santana will have a chance to win the game. Anyway., the game is tonight., take the series and leave New York in 1st place. |

We feel bad right now, eh Jose Reyes? You certainly didn't look that way laughing in the dugout when you're down by 5 runs & your error opened up the floodgates? I sure as hell wouldn't be laughing. Sure you had a 7 game winning streak snapped but the point is that you beat yourselves. Your error & Wright's error cost Johan a tough luck loss. No Johan wasn't great but pitched well enough to get the win. If I was Manuel let him gut through the 7th & get the 7 innings in. Sure there were some lucky hits (broken bat variety that fell through, but heck the Mets had games like that during their recent winning streak so them's the breaks) but it was Jose's error that really let the game get away. Then again, Lowe was on, that sinker was working well. Why did we get Cuckoo Friend & Ollie when we could've had Lowe? Sure he's 36 but he's won with the Sox in 2004 gives you 15 plus wins 200 plus innings & an ERA in the low to mid 3's. I trust him more than Ollie. And one other thing after Feliciano made the pitch but thanks to Jose's error why didn;t Manuel put Stokes in the game to face Diaz? Lefties only bat under 200 against Stokes whereas against Feliciano it's over 500? As the title of an old Barry & Enright 1980 game show, you've got to Play The Percentages. Anyway hopefully Pelf & Neise can get us back on the winning track before heading west to face the Giants, Dodgers & Bosox. Those three combined have a 36-11 home record on their home turfs. So a tough trip indeed. Lets GO METS!!!!!

Maybe the lack of all around support is not coincidental. Maybe they don't like him because of all the attention he gets from the fans and the media. We all know what this group does when they don't like someone. Remember Randolf!
