Brian Schneider does too many things that don't show up in the boxscore. He works well with pitchers, receives well, and throws people out. While he is not a great hitter, he is a lot better hitter than what he showed this year. He has proven that he can be an everyday catcher. For the Mets to let himgo would be a mistake. Omir Santos and Josh Thole are definitely not ready to be everyday catchers in the majors.
