Who's speediest on go-go Twins?

Full story: TwinCities.com

The, uh, running debate used be: Who is faster, Denard Span or Alexi Casilla? Whoever was declared the fastest held the de facto crown as the top speed merchant in the Twins' organization.

In your life have you ever seen a more perfect bunt than the one Casilla put down for a base hit? It was a thing of beauty and it's a real treat to see Span, Gomez and Casilla on the base paths. We pretty much got what we expected from Punto (strikeout, hit into double play and a foul out), but he did scratch out a hit with his head first slide into first. We'll probably read in the paper today that he reinjured his hamstring. I'm really sour on him right now and after the strikeout he looks so mad and hits his batting helmut with the bat, that I think that came across so poorly. On the bright side I think we should have Monroe in the lineup every time we play the Tigers so he can bash the ball around on his former team - a real treat to see a 3 run homerun, but I had the feeling we should have had 16 runs instead of 6. Good luck to the Twins and take another one from Detroit this afternoon. Go Twins!!

Was anyone else as excited to see that bottom to top line up of Span (9), Gomez (1), and Casilla (2). They fed off a few innings last night and got on base fairly often. In my opinion that may be one of the most entertaining, exciting, and edge of your seat 3-somes in baseball. I still love the Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer 3, 4, 5 line-up but when the 'speedy 3' lead off an inning you can guarantee there will be something fun to watch. Just my two cents......

If we're talking about the whole organization, I'd like to know where Revere and Hicks fit in the mix.

Another interesting race is who will be playing in the outfield. Span, Gomez, Cuddyer, Kubel & Young will make for some interesting decisions for Gardenhire. What looked like an achilles heal for the team has turned into a strength.

And to think I was ridiculed when I suggested, during spring training, that all three are assets and should be on the roster. They're young, inexperienced and will make some mistakes, but they are fun to watch!

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Libra

Remember that life isn't all fun and games: handle your responsibilities first, then plan how to have a good time. Your impulses, once you yield to them, will have a tendency to lead you further and further from where you need to be. Make sure you lock the door behind you before disappearing; when you're in this kind of mischievous mood, you probably won't want anyone else to know where you're going.
