The limb-O's

Full story: Baltimore Sun

If you're a fan, you want the Orioles to move forward. You're tired of fourth place, and you don't consider fifth to be a refreshing change.

I have been an Orioles fan since I was eight years old (1960). The Orioles have degenerated to an such an embarrassment that they can't even make a trade with being drama queens. There used to be some excitment when there were trades, such as Mets fans must feel right now, but with the Orioles it has turned into death by a thousand slices. It is exhausting being an Orioles fan these days.

I think the question that these "Goof Ball" reporters should be asking Andy MacPhail is; "When will you be stepping down"?
The Baltimore Orioles owner is such a hapless, bloody train wreck. Damn him for stealing baseball from an entire generation. A fool and his money go separate ways. Are you listening Angelos, you absolute MORON!

MacPhail made the deal, Angelos nixed the deal, and worse yet, Angelos is making a fool of MacPhail by going around him to offer Bedard $100 large to stay with this awful organization. MacPhail should quit because he is losing his respect with every passing minute. Peter Angelos has a great way of helping people look like idiots.

How many times has Peter Angelos taken us to a dark room, to look for a black cat, that isn't there?
He's a filthy liar. But I'm sure there will be at least 30,000 fools is the stands on Opening Day. The rest of us fools will continue to pay $2 per month so we can watch a re-broadcast of ESPN programming, endless golf, and a radio show.(That's right I said $2 per month to watch a "Radio Show" on television)

I've never wished bad things to happen to anyone.... before this.

I think resigning Bedard would be a mistake. This team is several years from contending, and the trade of Bedard would return players that would make up for several years of bad drafts and inadequate player development. Andy seems to have a plan. He was even rumored to be possibly trading Sherrill for 2 more prospects. That would essentially be 5-6 players for Bedard. It would at least give us a well stocked minor league system, and from that, with a little luck we might begin to turn the corner to respectability. Pete, you're trying to put a band-aid on a mortal wound. Hands off! Let Andy run the show. He has to be an improvement. Give him a chance.

Signing Bedard would be a mistake. Now, I didn't say a big mistake or the end of the world for the Orioles here. The bottom line is that the Orioles will not contend this year or the next for that matter, and at least McPhail is honest and understands the situation where it seems Angelos does not and truly never has. McPhail realizes that by getting 15 players for 3 is a solid way to build a broken farm system, let the young guys play to see who works and who doesn't, and build to eventually contend like the Indians did. What you cannot do is what the Orioles have done for the last decade-spending money to play for 3rd place. You make a choice: either all the way or rebuild. McPhail realizes the only option is #2 (no pun intended) and clean house. But again signing Bedard wouldn't be the worst thing, just a bad move.

Roch-
Consider your current residence to be a rental property. Isn't that a reference to the Orioles and their Spring Training woes since they left Miami? Even in Sarasota, they are using The old Royals academy building from 1963! Ponce DeLeon trained there.

The one question no one ever seems to ask McPhail is, if Angelos is not holding up the trade what is? I know he can't show his hand, but either sources are scarce or some one is lying.

Balto.s/b proud of the way Peter the Great played Vero Beach,Fla.against Ft.Lauderdale for spring training.Signed an option w/Vero Beach to use the Dodgers facilities (which by the way are outstanding)since the minor leaguers and the major leaguers are all together, with two major league teams-Cardinals and Marlins-within 30 miles for spring games. But no,Mr Lawyer only used Vero to try and get Ft lauderdale and the FAA to "improve"the antiquated Ft L.facilities.Same Ol,Same Ol.Peter gets to keep all the $$ while the world laughs at this franchise.

First off "AncientO's Fan, please learn to spell. It will make life easier for you. Maybe it will take you from behind the counter serving fries, to the front of the counter ordering fries. That's a step up.

Maybe we should call you Lou or John since only an Angelos family member could be so dilusional when it comes to the Orioles, MASN, the Bedard debacle, or the last 14-years of this clown owning the team. Maybe you are the forgotten Angelos son "Dumas"? Yeah, I think that's who you are.

Regardless, try to get out from under your rock once in a while, or maybe once you have your home detention monitor removed, you can go out and buy a real newspaper and become a better informed MORON.

The possible trading of Bedard is like the Redskins trying to find a new head coach. Of course consider the owners of these respective teams and you should get my drift.

When will it happen?
