Maybe the Cardinals need a mentoring program if they don't already have one. Put a young player with an older player of good character.

Let's also get rid of the topix censor who obviously once took editing tips from Josef Stalin.

I'm sure the Reds could use him now as they are short in the outfield due to injuries right now.
2 to 3 years from now Rasmus may very well be another Brandon Phillips, with a gold glove and an All Star appearance or two, who knows?

Phillips was perceived by the Cleveland Indians back in '05 as a goof-off; as someone who wasn't serious about playing the game. This is the main reason why he was traded to the Reds in '06.

But nothing is further from the truth!
Brandon Phillips' attitude about the game of baseball is exactly the same as an aspiring little leaguer's.
That's the way he wants to be & to be perceived.

And I'll bet Colby Rasmus is largely cut from the same mould.

I think if Colby is not happy and wants to go then like the old saying says dont let the door hit you in the rear on your way out. What gets me though is i will never make a baseball salery in my lifetime and there are days i hate my job but i still have to keep on going with a smile on my face. Years ago before baseball became this monster that has spoiled the sport and the players, players were just happy to be playing on any pro team. Sadly the ego's and the wallets are so grossly huge now due to the baseball monster.
