Cody Ross proved the last two seasons he deserved to play in CF every day. It's about time he got his props.

MARLINS SATURDAY LOST SHOULD BE CREDITED TO FREDDY GONZALEZ. WHY BRING AGAIN STRUGGLING CLOSER KEVIN GREGG IN INNING NINE AFTER MADE A DOUBLE SWITCH BRINGING PITCHER DOUG WAECHTER WHO RETIRED EASILY THE EIGHT INNING WITH ONLY TWO THROW? WHAT SENSE IT HAS?

Lot to be critical about for this team, but lest we forget, who figured they would be contenders at the halfway point? And don't count on Marlin brass making any big trades or acquisitions.

Freddy and Graig have blown at least 10 games between the two. Also lets not forget the double play that Hanley muffed in the 9th on saturday, that was very costly

A while ago the Marlins were in first place. A few weeks ago they were just one game out. Today they are 3-4 games out.

If they want to be considered a "contender" they need to get CLOSER to a playoff spot, not FARTHER away. Plus, a contender wouldn't have just lost 3 of 4 to a last place team.

Can't argue with anything you say, but did you REALLY expect them to be in 1st place the ENTIRE season? And they are not the only top team to lose a series to a bottom team.

Dear Old Gator, There may be up to 864 Free Agents valued at $2,757,199 all ready to play at Cellular Field. This would be a good topic to discuss.

The time is quickly approaching that will separate the men from the boys as they say. We are going to witness the Phills, Mets, and others upgrade and gear up for the playoffs run while the Marlins are going to stand pat and ride it out with what they've got. 2.5 games out will quickly turn to 7.5 and then 12.5 games out to "looking toward next year".

It's a shame because with the right trade or two, they could actually have a shot this season.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
