Joe Girardi is the worst manager in baseball--the guys is an empty suit add in the zero-clue Brian Cashman and you have a recipe for missing playoffs in 2009. Team has great chemistry but

This is AS I SEE IT, by Mike "Mainer Mike" Brown, the AS I SEE IT Guy. The Yankees may have fared better if they had a hitter like Babe Ruth, the greatest Yankee of all time. Sure, the Yankees have A-Rod. But Ruth hit one homer after the next not with steroids, but with a diet that consisted of pizza, beer, and ring dings. Now that's greatness. That's AS I SEE IT. I'm Mike "Mainer Mike" Brown, The AS I SEE IT Guy.

Tough one to lose but I'll sattle for an 8-2 homestand any time. I think the Yankee pitchers should have backed that Ruiz kid off the plate a few times. They kind of left him alone and he killed them. He's also a bit small to be totally blocking the plate like he does. He got Damon twice doing that. I'd give him the 1st one but Damon should have run him over the 2nd time. Good little ball player though-I give him a lot of credit!

Man, when I brought Newsday's Sunday paper I could've swore I've brought the Daily News instead. It has tons of yankees news and only one story about the Mets. Is Newsday forgetting what kind of paper it is. Isn't Newsday a Long Island and Queen paper?? Then why are they sucking up to the yankees with stories about pies and them clowning around and passing up the Mets with only a small story about their victory against the Boston Red Sox, a team that sweep the yankees. If this a just another yankees lovin paper then I'm buying the New York Post!

Couldn't agree more. Girardi is no Torre. And The Club has been experiencing strife due to the personality clashes with him as well as having disagreements with his managerial style. He lacks people skills. And has a shallow understanding of these players who were once a well co-ordinated and consolidated team under the managment of Torre. Girardi has not solidified this team. He doesn't have the adhesive stuff. Jeter, Posada, Mariano pulled their team members together into cohesiveness. We play 81 games in this ballpark, we have to take advantage of how small it is, although, to be honest, it should be banned. It's making a mockery of baseball... there are minor league in which it's harder to hit a HR than this band box... even broken bats fly balls go over the fence?!... what a joke!...

Taking advantage is one thing - remember that means the other teams are hitting them out too, so thats not good for your pitchers - Pick your poison

A broken bat home run. Have never seen it. Didn't think it was possible. The stadium is a joke.

But then again, the yankees allowed as many runs against them in the old stadium in 04 so its hard to really say. Although if you say that right field is more homer friendly at the new stadium I woulnd't desagree with you...

I saw a couple of broken bat HRs before in ESPN highlights, its not impossible... that home run was to left field anyway. Its right field that really lets balls carry, left field and center are pretty much the same as before in terms of wind. The HRs to right really bug me however...

Good God Gal I finally get to talk to you without trolls.(for awhile) I really need to get an email address. I see where others have a trash email. I am guessing that means you exchange emails then get new ones. (Another thing Ms. NY will have to teach me}lol
We will have to work on new names and a new place so no one figures it out then get Ginger hooked up. It has gone crazy on some of these threads.
Ps. pod people...What was funny was the same day I posted differently than usually.. For me I tried to be nice to an azz then I saw your post standing up for mean nana. That's when pod people came to mind.
My son had a great birthday. He is now 17. Thank you for the birthday blessing.
I shorted my name.

This thread is good, for now. I will have to figure out the email thing. Then I'll get it to you. And show you how to set up. "Spice" will come back, slowly in her time. She's been hurt. I know why. But am not sure I should say. Only use aka's on here. Yea well, the way they attacked lion was wrong. Perhaps I understand the little child in her. Why she acts the way she does. A wounded, defensive little child. And I couldn't stand to see them ( no matter what side ) hurt her in that way. That's why I stood up for her. Protective. And I don't appreciate them bringing all that bad negativity. Let them keep it on their thread. I opted out of that thread. Remember, there are no sides. Only principles. Remember that. No mention of this thread anymore, ok? cricket wrote: Good God Gal I finally get to talk to you without trolls.(for awhile) I really need to get an email address.
