Your 2008 World Series Champion Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

I never thought I'd see the day when the Rays were a game from the World Series. Insanity.

Well, now that we know that no one could whip a bunch of primadonnas into playing baseball like men, Willie Randolph might prove effective as manager of a team that really wants to win championships besides just earn what equals the GDP of the DR!

No, folks, it was not Willie's fault after all.

It was a bunch of schmuck, lethargic and unconcernded pack of overpaid clowns who blew it for a 2nd time.

And now that they're all getting BJs in their villas from the hottest Latina chicks known to humanity, they really don't much care.

A smart mind and gentleman to manage the Nationals? Heck, with the right coaching assistants, some decent drafts and trading and a bit of luck, I see the Nats as contenders in 2 years.

They are talking about 3b coach or bench coach.

Manny Acta as Mets Manager?!
Met fans hate ths guy already. How can a Manager (acta) go an entire year (2008) without being thrown out of 1 game. Now that's fire NY fans want to see.

Well trade, willie for Manny ANYTIME! Lets send Manuel packing before he packs! He has a new home, let him stay there! Acta cen fire the Mets up! The Mets have the players to win easily, just lacking the chemistry. W/Acta, he will put in the firs and the chemistry follows! I know, sounds to easy! Hey, what Met fan isn't a dreamer??

As a NY Met fan I can only hope Willie winds up with the Nats. It improves the Mets' chances of victory every time they face the Nats.

It's weird, I was watching a mets-nationals game on MLB.TV and the nat's broadcasters spent every free moment praising manny acta as a great person, and baseball mind etc. i guess there's not a whole lot to talk about when you have a record like that, but it's clear that they want to sell their manager's personality very hard to potential fans. it comes across like a creepy personality cult.

for god's sake, i swear, will the mets ever rehire bobby valentine? i'm so tired of hearing about these managers with little or no success being mentioned for our coaching spot...

why cant we hire the only coach in the last decade... no more that hasn't completely let the fans down. the fans never wanted bobby valentine gone, and the fans deserve a guy with a little fire in his belly...

look the phillies are in the series... that hurts even more now, at least to me. give us something we can feel good about, somebody who'll help us get back on top.

i've not heard a single fan i've spoken to that wouldnt want bobby v back. not a one.

i mean look at what he did... we made it to the world series with benny agbayani, rey ordonez's anemic hitting, bernard gilky, and just overall a team that didnt have half the talent as this one. the difference was we had a coach that gave a crap and would get the team to rally...

bobby v would make sure that instead of quitting in the 2nd inning when we're down by 3 runs we'd fight our way back instead of laying down
