I have upper deck box seats for Friday's game. Will the ushers at Oriole Park PLEASE let me go down to the field level for a meaningless game, against a meaningless team (The Blue Jays), in another meaningless season (2008), so I can have something to brag about in my meaningless life up here in Brewster, NY? I am 42 years old, I have been rooting for The Orioles since 1971. Can I AT LEAST go to my grave being able to say that I sat in the filed level one time for an O's game? Or am I forever relegated to the upper deck, because that is all that I can afford?
Sorry, friend, but I was at the DH last night against the Rays and the nazi ushers between the dugouts in the lower bowl were checking tickets and kicking people out of seats when they were able to sneak by them. It was unbelievable! You would think the team would want people there to make it look like there are more fans there on TV. If that's not your seat and someone shows up that has that ticket, you simply move to another empty one. There were literally entire rows in every section last night that were empty, yet the ushers continued on their power trip to keep them empty. Not only does the team suck, but the ushers seem to do what they can to make the game less enjoyable for the fans too. Thanks peter angelos for all that you do for us O's fans (and that ain't much!!)

No. The biggest dork ever goes to a Yankee fan that spends hours taunting Oriole fans because the D-Rays and The Red Sox shoved it up your a$$es this season. In fact, the Red Sox have been shoving it up your a$$es for years now.

First question. Will this team be a contender in the immediate future with the talent they can put around Roberts? NO. Will Roberts sign long term with a non-contender? NO. If the deal is right, should the Orioles trade Roberts. YES. In fact, they should have taken the deal the Cubs put on the table this year. At least we would have a SS.
Fred-- how about some scallops and a fresh lobster while you are at it? You are, alas correct: if the Cubs deal wasn't the "wow" McPhail was looking for I, for one, cannot wait for the package that will take the GM breath, and Brian Roberts, away from the madness called "Orioles 'baseball'"....

You won't have any problems if you act like you are supposed to be there. We weren't in the nosebleed, but were I think lower reserve and we walked up and sat first row in vacant seats and no one questioned us.

There is NO SHAME in being a Yankee fan. There IS shame in being a gutless coward Yankee fan, coming on The Baltimore Sun and pretending to be an O's fan, when really you are a disgruntled Yankee fan that gets his jollies from talking smack with fans of a team that lost 90 games.
Obviously there's no shame in rooting for the Yankees...they have nearly 10 times as many WS titles as the O's do. You should be shamed however for knowing jack about baseball and making the worst predictions/suggestions ever all over this board.

Funny how you probably thought it was gang busters too...you even felt compelled to create an entirely new comment to work it in. God you're lame.

I'd like to sell my rental property but I can't get my price right now, so I will keep on renting it. It's a simple as that, if we get a good offer we need to take it, if not we see if he will give us a discount to stay here, lacking that we let someone else sign him as a free agent and collect our two 1st round draft picks.

As usual, you AVOID THE POINT. And that point is, you are not JUST a Yankee fan. You are a COWARDLY Yankee fan that can't take the fact that your team got their a$$es kicked by two teams in your division with lower payrolls (ESPECIALLY Tampa Bay), so you come on The Baltimore Sun and kick the dog at the bottom. You don't have the B A L L S or the guts to hang with the good teams at the top, so you come running on here like a weasel, and brag about how your $230 Million team came in third place.

The bottom line is YOUR YANKEES got their a$$es kicked this year. You are sitting at home, and all you have left to brag about is how you are better than a last place team. Has the "Great" Yankee tradition fallen that far??? relegated to bragging that they didn't come in last place? Fine. Congratulations Yankee fans. You didn't come in last place. Hurray for the (not last place) Yankees.

The Yankees are sitting home. Their owner is whining about not getting an automatic bid to the post-season. Their fans are going on The Baltimore Sun, and bragging that they didn't come in last place. Great Yankee Tradition.

You have no clue what the hell you are talking about! You want to trade Markakis (who is the cornerstone of our rebuilding process) and Tillman (a pitcher that we need because we have absolutely NO pitching. If you can trade and get Roberts for that I would do it but not two really young guys who can help us in the long run. Roberts isn't going to help us in the long run. And you call yourseld a "prospect expert". What a f **** in idiot.
I'd deal Markakis AND Jones straight up for Upton. Those two turds aren't in the same league as Upton.

LOL at your multiple posts with no response. You're such a mental midget. Funny how the dumbest homers get all bent out of shape when I debunk their flawed logic. I've had enough of Angelos' false promises. 11 years is enough...we've heard it all before...some of us are smart enough to learn from the past...apparently you're a complete moron and incapable of such things.

This is possibly the most pathetic post I've ever read.

You're telling me that you manage to go to baseball games all summer all over the East Coast, INSTEAD OF WORKING, and now you're begging to sit in the lower deck.

Front row seats are available for $35 each on eBay.

You just attended two Yankees-O's games, and you're begging to upgrade seats.

I'd deal Jones for a lot less. He's extremely overrated. In reality we still haven't gotten much for Bedard. Tillman is still a question mark as he has not produced in the majors yet. Jones had a mediocre season. Kam Mickilio is garbage. Sherrill would be a bit player on a real team.

SevernDave said it best. What would the Orioles do with the five prospects they would get for Roberts? Nurse maybe one of them to success so they could then trade him because he hasn't brought them a pennant?

Yes. Absolutely keep Brian Roberts. Also, keep Nick Markakis, Adam Jones, William Guthrie, Jimmy Johnson, and George Sherrill. Another big question is those four starting pitchers in AA. Should they come up to the Orioles next season, or should they have one more season in AAA, then come to the O's in 2010?

You're team still LOST this season, buddy. And you still have nothing better to do than to taunt the fans of a last place team, because your teams S U C K S too.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Sagittarius

It's time to muster all your resources and energies and push through to the next level. The harmony between Mars and Saturn will support your efforts. If you need to dig deeper into shared resources or your credit facilities, now's the time to do so. With careful planning and perhaps family support, you can consolidate and somehow find greater security. This is a calculation not a risk though.
