And if any of you want to know who I am, just look for the guy in the stands on Friday night. That's right, look for the GUY (singular) in the stands. I have upper deck box seats, but I'll try to finagle my way down to the field level. Seriously, I couldn't make this s**t up if I tried. If you think about it, they could make a movie about my six months as an O's fan in 2008.

You people really are Baltimoron's, Brian Roberts discraceed himself by lying about steroid usage, B-Roid is a piece of garbage, Derek Jeter and Posada are leaders and a motivators and winners!!! unlike B-Roid, and Mora do they motivate anyboddy?? no B-Roid in no leader or motivator, he just looks cute and all the stupid Oriole female fans love him. Cal Ripken is still the face of the Orioles bc hes a winner and the Orioles haven't had a winner since. If George Steinbrenner owned the Orioles B-Roid would have been traded 3 years ago. Trade him for pitching!!! please
Thats why King George kept guys like Giambi and... remember Steve Howe?? Not to mention a couple of others. Gimme a break with your analogy.

Why now?? Another year later, here we are talking about the same player. Open the wallet, pay a couple free agents, and stop trying to mooooooch off the other teams fine scouting success and develope their own FARM SYSTEM.

Keep Roberts & Markak!!!!

The Orioles are at least 30 WINS from being in contention. This based on the typical wins for an American League East Division winner. That being said Roberts will think long and hard about resigning here. Yes he loves the city and has found a home. But every pro athlete plays and WORKS for the postseason with the hope of being a world champion.

Should the Orioles try very hard to resign him? Absolutely! But given the state of the team and the fact it will take a miracle bigger then the Tampa Rays turnaround we must consider all options. Options that include trading him for viable prospects especially in the pitching department. The Orioles need good pitching as much as any team in either league.

Yes we can shop him and entertain possibilities. No player on this team is greater or more valuable then the possibility and stated goal of reaching the playoffs by 2010.

LOL at the thought of this team making the playoffs in 2010. Like they will be able to compete with the Yankees, Sox, and Rays by then...let alone all the other great AL teams (WhiteSox, Twins, Angels). Try 2013. Roberts will be in his mid to late 30's then.

I'm with you Eck...it's not just about what you could get in vaccuum...it's about what else you would need to replace with him gone.

PS, the Curse happily points out that Moose's curse for abandoning ship remains alive and strong. Not even playoffs for NY this year.

And it's worth mentioning again. Classy Hank Steinbrenner is B I T C H I N G because The Yanks are not getting an automatic bid to the post-season.

Ditto for Jason Giambi. But the BIGGEST curse of all for the yankees, even bigger than the Mussina curse is The Alex Rodriguez curse. At least Mussina made it to the World Series twice with the Yanks. A-Rod has led the Yanks BACKWARDS since he got there. BEFORE A-Rod, The yanks were champions of the American league. AFTER he got there A-Rod led the way in the biggest choke in pots-season history in 2004, followed by three first-round exits in 2005, 2006, and 2007, followed by not making it at all to the post-season in 2008. A-Rod has ONE RBI in his last FIFTY-TWO post-season at-bats with The yankees since Game Four of the 2004 ALCS against Boston. The Yankees were a very good team WITHOUT A-Rod. They are gradually deteriorating with him.

The Yankees got their a$$es kicked by both Tampa Bay and Boston this season. They are NOT going to the post-season, EVEN THOUGH they have a $230 Million payroll. So what do their fans do? They come on an Orioles board and taunt us Bird fans. Follow that with kicking the dog because you don't have the B A L L S to stand up to your co-workers.

Yank fans: You didn't make the post-season. So now you want to come on The Baltimore Sun, and say "Nah nah, nah nah, nah. We won 90 games, and you had another losing season." Hey, if that's what you want to accept as a Yankee fan, lowering the bar to taunting fans of a losing team, good for you. As each year passes, we hear less and less about how great The Yankees are, and more and more sour grapes from them.

I mean REALLY SOUR GRAPES on the part of Yankee fans. REALLY, REALLY, REALLY sour grapes on the part of Yankee fans. I mean Yank fans coming on here to taunt us are eating grapes so sour, they would give food poisoning to Rasputin.

At least Hank Steinbrenner OWNS the team, even though he is a stupid s**t. He is not as dumb as you, a Yankee fan that is spending hours taunting Oriole fans on the Baltimore Sun, because your team got your a$$es whooped by Tampa Bay and Boston.

I'm an O's fan. I live in Federal Hill and grew up in Timonium. Just because I'm not a complete moronic homer like you doesn't mean I'm not an O's fan.

There is NO SHAME in being a Yankee fan. There IS shame in being a gutless coward Yankee fan, coming on The Baltimore Sun and pretending to be an O's fan, when really you are a disgruntled Yankee fan that gets his jollies from talking smack with fans of a team that lost 90 games.
