The Reds are one of the teams the Mets are suppose to beat ! Thats a big change from past 2 seasons when they lost to inferior teams during the year and it cost them the playoffs ! They got timely hits last night and a few breaks ! But a win is a win ...And what a difference it makes having a strong and confident bullpen !! Go Mets !

Oh boy. Looks like I'm going to reach for the Maalox again & it's only 2 games old. K-Rod tries to be a right handed version of Wagner & also Armando Benitez. But in the end a win is a win. April wins are just as important as September wins. Hope this pen can do the job when crunch time comes. First game great pitching by Johan & the pen. last night, Pelf didn't have it but got through 5 innings despite the wildness & got the win. Sometimes you don;t have the stuff but you grind it out & Pelf found the way. Add to that the two Carloses & Brian Schneider with the bases clearing double which was so vital especially with the Reds trying to mount the comeback from 9-4. 2-0 & now let's see what Cuckoo Friend & Ollie is made of. We'll find out this afternoon if Ollie's game or not. Love to go 3-0 & sweep the Reds before heading off to Miami to face the 3-0 Marlins who just swept the Nats who will lose over 100 games again, they just plain suck. The Marlins have very good starting pitching & the Mets will face Jason Johnson vs JOhan on Sunday (great matchup) Maine vs Sanchez Friday & Livan against Ricky Nolasco (another really good young pitcher). So they'll have their hands full this weekend. at least the weather will in the mid 80's (it is South Florida after all) but first things first. Hope Ollie has it today! LET'S GO METS!!!!!

Look who's talking loser. 0-2 to the lowly O's. Let's see how the 82 million dollar man AJ Burnett does provided he doesn't injure himself & goes back on the DL. Go O's for the sweep. CC needs to mix in a salad, Joba has to grow up & Big Tex hasn't hit stride yet. So far 423.5 million dollars hasn't warranted you a win. I know it's early but I'm loving it.

Did Feliciano somehow go invisible last off-season when the Mets were purging themselves of that horrendous bullpen. Was he not as responsible as anyone the last two sept. I say start looking right now.

Exactly my thought. Last year the feel was so different. Remember feeling in your gut, Wagner is going to blow this one, and he did. Now i am calm, i have confidence. We will win!

The only thing I worry about is when K- Rod puts his hands in the ait and celebrates!! haha. I know the league loves it. Aaron Heilman is up to his old tricks with the Cubs by the way.
