yeah CC wants to stay on West coast. dont think he wants to come to NY. and if they pry him here w/enuf $ he wont be happy and have his heart in it and the play will suffer.
Hey Man, where have you been?
I wouldn't want to see CC land in Toronto! They already have a scary staff without him!
I'm expecting a lot of Yankee activity this off season! They have to put on a full court press to get Texiera and at least 1 top of the line starting pitcher. I've never been a fan of Moose, but I tip my cap to him for a job well done this season. To expect another season like this from him would be a huge mistake in my opinion! Don't count on getting much from him and be surprised if they do-much like this year!

I say bring back Moose and Andy. Congratulations to Moose for a great season. Andy didn't have his best year, but he's still a big piece of Yankees puzzle. I always enjoyed watching Moose and Andy on the same team, especially when theyre both dominating. I want them both back, at least for next year.

well keep signing Moose to a 1 yr deal and he cant settle in, he always has something to play for. add to that he's about 33 wins away from 300 and his heart will be in it, so long as his stuff survives.
def go aftr Texiera. and yes open the checkbook and go aftr pitching.$ wont be an issue as much as term will. i not thrilled with giving anyone of the pitchers out there more than 3 yrs. but none of them young bucks so they're prob gonna wanna sure their future up now and want 5-6 yrs like Santana got.
i agree bout CC although something bout him makes me leary. not sure he's as dominant as he appears to be.
but yeah, like said who are we to say that all these guys will be available. if Toronta decides to get in game they already got 2 big arms in Burnett and Halliday. instead of trade Burnett, maybe they go after Sheets or CC. maybe the mets screw up and Toronto goes aftr K-rod also. it'll be an interesting off season and Cashman better smarten up and he and Steinbrenners better get their act tgthr and run the orginization the way the old man did otherwsie we're in for a 10 yr no playoff drought.
on a side note i see Giambi maybe going to a team that has an avrge 1st baseman now and upgrading offense. he did hit 31 hr so far. he's not done. maybe he tears up the NL. i'd like to keep Nady-he plays hard. i dotn see matsui as a strong DH but he'll prob stay as that. Abreau???? not sure to pay him that much although he is a consistent player. hughes, kennedy, Melky, cano...all ??????????
Joba..back in pen ? prepare for 2 yrs latr when Mo leaves.

funny thing is they need to concentrate on pitching, YET...the pitching didn't let them down this yr, the offense DID !

Andy is not welcomed back unless they cant find anyone. too much $ and ineffective. big pice of past puzzle is more like it. nothing against him just cant afford to keep people based on what they did prior.
Posada...another one. we got him for 3 more but not sure we can deal with a catcher who cant throw people out effectively. nobody likes Giambi cuz of his defense but we're willing to put up with people stealing bases on our catcher as if it were free ???

As a fan, I urge the Steinbrenner family to honor Mussina's 2008 accomplishments by awarding him a new two year contract. He'll bring stability to a revamped starting rotation that will include Sabathia and Burnett.

I agree bring him back...they can call it "Posada Part 2: Revenge of Moose".

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Sagittarius

It's important to be discriminating about what you say and believe today. That's because communications are rather strange, with people saying or doing odd things and plenty of scope for crossed wires. Be very careful if you're attending to important details because for some reason your brain may switch off at the vital moment, leaving you prone to making mistakes or losing track of what you're doing. Try to double-check anything important tomorrow when your brain is back in gear.
