Wow, that was embarrassing! The Indians were 2 and 7 before today, and beat the Yankees badly in the first regular season game at the new Yankee Stadium. Quite a different outcome from the opening game at the old Stadium. Where's Babe Ruth when you need him? Or at least a dependable bullpen!

I hope the Boss gives Marte the boot and Girardi also. The yankees need better relief pitching, do it now , you do not have to wait to see more of these useless relievers, the out come will be the same, make moves while you can still recover....

The real embarrassment is Girardi. After 13 straight years of post-season ball, this guy can't get them into the playoffs despite having the highest payroll in baseball. And then this total laugher at home. He plays with no fire and the team follows his dull, uninspired management style. Even though it's early and their record is so-so, the team shows no heart, no fight and no hussle. Girardi is a failure.

The taxpayers really got raped on this new stadium. Its bad enough that so much money was wasted. The least the f-ing yankees could do is win.

Really, what can Girardi do? The bullpen is a crapshoot right now and he's getting nothing from Teixeira and Matsui and, of course, Rodriguez is sorely missed. And 15 LOB? Ridiculous. No, you can't get on Girardi for this one. Besides, Yankee brass knew full well what they were getting with Joe. Lousy baseball makes everybody look bad. Of more concern is Sabathia who labored mightily today despite giving up just 1 run. No command; all heart. But that's two of three very un-C.C.-like outings. But he'll be back and so will the team.

hahahahhahahahhahah I put a curse on them in 2003 because the guy who was selling the hospitality suites was a big snot, and I am glad to see it is still working!!!!!!!!!!
hahahahhahah
hope this is predictive of a long, miserable run in their new, paid for by taxpayers who can't afford games, stadium.

The new era.
Third place behind Boston and Tampa Bay.

High priced choke artists in a Taj Mahal stadium funded by taxpayers who cannot afford to attend one game.

How do we get our money back? Can we get legislation to refund the tax dollars spent?

I won't pay those ticket prices. I won't pay those food prices either. I am so disgusted with the front office I canceled my DirecTV MLB Extra Innings package. Was a NYY fan since the mid-60's when I was growing up in northern NJ. Lonn Trost, Randy Levine, The two Steinbrenner Sons and Cashman have ruined this franchise..... I hope the ugly blowouts continue for sticking it to the loyal fans who stood by this franchise when no one else would!

What a disgrace! The bullpen once again couldn't get anyone out. What is starting to concern me is the offense. We left 15 runners on base. A serious lack of clutch hitting again. This is starting to remind me of last year. Please please please get Cody Ramsey out of there. He is awful. Between Damon, Gardiner and Swisher, we are lucky if they hit 40 homeruns between them.Damon is stating to look very old. Too many weak ground balls.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
