Without a doubt, instant reply should be used in many situations. The arrogance of many umpires to think that they cannot makes a bad call is beyond me. The time for the use of instant reply is way overdue.

No replay in baaseball, a player can deal with hitting 2 less homeruns, with the money they are making they could just buy two more homeruns if it really bothers them

Video can be an effective tool, but the umpires need to be trained in how to use it. On May 27 at Citi Field, they overturned a ruling and gave Daniel Murphy a home run when the video actually confirmed that the ball did not hit the upper deck. The umpires admitted they they couldn't see the ball as it based the upper deck, but were fooled by a trick of camera angles into thinking the ball hit it. Replay from two different angles shows the ball passing different points, proving it didn't hit, but they didn't know to look for it, or to ask what the camera positions were.
