Not closing time yet for Dodgers
This should have been easy for the Dodgers. Jonathan Broxton was on the mound with a three-run lead in the ninth inning against the dismal Pirates and an National League West title to celebrate as soon as they closed it out.

The Dodgers are a very good team. They will recover from this game. Every winning team has games like this in a season. Go Dodgers!!!

I was hoping the Dodgers wouldn't clinch in Pittsburgh or DC. Those had to be the most boring games of the season, and the second string announcers didn't help much. The whole series was like watching paint dry. It will be much more exciting to watch them clinch with Vinny back on the tube. And as an added bonus, forcing the Padre fans to watch the celebration will make it worth the wait.
