Raul Ibanez or Adam Dunne could have supplied some much needed power in the off season. But noooooooooo, we've got Murphy, Tatis, etc. Oh, and that great depth in the minors, Evans, Niese, etc, wow!!! Everyone is jumping at the chance to get those guys from us, aren't they??????? Omar translates to "moron" in English!!!!

Ok boys, forget the media hype. Now is the time to take center stage. The Phillies, like all of the National League teams, can be beat. You've done more with less. Show us some grit and get back on your horse.

. by the end of this week we will realize the Yankees can not be the Sox, 0-8, and they were lucky to not get swept by the Phillies (Lidge)

After Johan's game tonight, I can see the choking & hear the excuses already, come on folks, what in the last couple of years has shown us that the Mets will come up big when it really matters ? I hope I'm wrong and will gladly come back and admit it if I am.

You're the moron! Last season the bullpen was the "only" problem, not the outfielders or runs (power) scored. Too many blown leads and games lost by the bullpen. If I recall correctly, 33 blown games and the offense scored 799 runs which was 2nd in the NL. Omar gutted last year's bullpen all except for Pedro Feliciano with only Putz (prior to his elbow injury) being disappointment off-season addition. This season the starting pitching have been an issue, with the lack of clutch hitting (high LOB #'s), decreased Home Runs (Citifield's large outfield maybe a huge factor to that), and injuries to key starters (Delgado, Reyes, Church, Schneider, Redding, etc). Perez's awful starts and knee injury is another topic. So I ask you, what do you have to say now...

The Mets needed a RH hitting outfielder, not Raul Ibanez, who's power numbers have fallen sharply over the last month (3 HR), or Adam Dunn, who strikes out 1 in every 3 AB's and is an adventure in the field.

All I can say is maybe moron translates closer to you.

Acutally I am not him, I am a die hard met fan. HOwever I find it hysterical, how that guy posts the same response over and over and over again, and the people here get soooooo mad, kind of like when Franseca yells at a caller, and you just know Mike is real life mad at the guy, that cracks me up. So unfortunately, as much as I want the mets to win it all in 2009, this little chop busting of posting these 7 words makes me smile, the only problem was, I forgot his username lol.

So you're a die hard Mets fan that finds it hysterical to get other Met fans mad?? Kind of warped.... No Fat Francesca is not mad just gets extremely annoyed when a fan dares to question his knowledge.. he's an arrogant moron who made a name for himself being Parcells' gofer boy.. Notice he always has to say 'okay' after he makes a point.. he got that straight out of the Parcells media playbook. "Santana doesn't like throwing to Castro, okay, thats why he was traded" How does he know this? he doesn't he just makes s___t up and the fat dork rolls with his own BS and gets the callers.. Okay?!

And you dont find that funny???

It is hysterical.

And any true met fan could care less if some loser constantly types "los mets...countdown to the september collapse"

And the sad thing is, there is a grain of truth in it. Lets look at the team honestly, admit that we folded like yesterdays laundry in 06 (beltran looks at a curve, that image is burned on my brain), 07 & 08 pure collapses, and place the blame where it deservedly belongs, squarely at Omar's feet. An emailer sent a message to Loudmouths yesterday asking why Omar is trading to improve the triple a team and not the big league team (valdez, that pitcher, and the big stick guy) and you know something hes 1000% right. Omar is always a day late and a doolar short or to put it another way, omar is ultra reactive and non proactive, and until he puts 8 sticks in the lineup and 5 pitchers (ill credit him the bullpen however once again he did half a job there and only reacted to failure instead of proactively modified the pen)that can bring us to the promised land I will continue to dog him and own up to the fact that the last 3 years they have been "Los Mets.....countdown to the September collapse"
