I've been very fortunate to work along side with Bobby Darula at Bobby Valentine Sports Academy as well as working out with him the past two years. Being a minor leaguer myself, I have learned more about the game these past two years from Bobby then I have in my six years of playing professional baseball. Words don't explain this guys drive to be the very best he can be day in and day out. Haven taken swings with him in the cage, and spending time with him in the weight room, no one prepared for a season like Bobby Darula did. He really set the bar high for a younger guy like myself who is still chasing the dream of one day getting the call. Even to this day, Bob still sets aside time from his day to give me some flips and throw me some BP.
I'm not sure if there is anything else Bobby could have done to make it to the show. Looking at his numbers for the first time last year when i met him, I was simply blown away as to how consistent he played over the course of 10 YEARS!!! Its really unbelievable an unfortunate that he never got the opportunity that he deserved. On top of being a great baseball player, Bobby is a classy, respectful, honest, and intelligent individual. To say Bobby Darula missed out on the Show, doesn't quit explain the story as well as, the Show missed out on Bobby Darula.
