Thanks for adding the stats on Murton- that's called giving perspective. Do it more often.
Also, if I recall correctly, Lieber did not pitch in the Phillies series, or at least on Sunday, meaning he will be well rested by Wednesday if he has to do long work again.
I figure based on the way the boys seem to bunch their runs in the middle innings, Lieber has a shot at at least 12 wins pitching in long relief. Not bad.
So what if Cedeno knows how to steal- he can't play second- afraid of the ball coming to him from that direction and does not know how to tailor his throws from shortstop. All he is good for is manning the pivot on flips to second.
He needs extensive coaching, which is a joke considering he has had a few shots at the bigs already.

Why don't the Cubs bring up Matt Murton? The Cubs really don't need to carry two utility infielders, plus the Cubs can really use Murton bat off the bench and start him against tough lefties.

MATT MURTON SUCKS!!!!!!!! Get over it already. He's done nothing productive, he's horrible on defense, he's slow, he can only play LF and RF and hello we have those 2 positions taken care of. And if he's so good why cant we trade him. oh cuz no one wants him.
